Speaking of Hard Work and Dedication...

My Klipsch photo of the day features a newspaper ad of our loyal employees, which I mentioned reminds us of hard work and dedication.  But you don't have to look hard to find reminders of this everywhere.

There is a spider who lives just outside my garage.  I discovered her last week, but I have no idea how long she's been there.  Every evening like clockwork, I watch her spin an amazing web, connecting my light, bushes, and corner of the house together in the most intricate design with steadfast determination.  Every morning I look for her again, and I inevitably find the sad, broken web blanketing the bushes.  Dusk arrives, and out she appears from hiding, busily spinning into the night.

Some may find the tireless acrobatics and detailed artistry a waste of time,  but it seems perfectly logical to me.  We all weave an intricate pattern during our daily lives.... just to survive.

So, when you take a flash picture of a spider, does it see eight spots?

Is Roy afraid of spiders?

We often get spiders building webs like this by our back sliding door. Usually shining a flashlight will attract bugs which makes for a really cool show (it's even more fun if you throw bugs in the web yourself).

What does Steven think of the spider?

Ooo, good idea about attracting bugs there, Mike!  A little sadistic, maybe, but hey, a spider has to eat!

Steven just loves the it, and looks forward to checking her work nightly.  He calls her Charlotte.

Doesn't Charlotte die at the end?  Well as long as it doesn't have a red hour glass on the bottom or a brown fiddle on top, I guess it is ok for her to hang with the Unger's for awhile.
