Wash, Rinse, Spin

Daily Photo:

To me, this looks like an industrial size washing machine...one that perhaps would knock out the laundry of an entire frat house in just under an hour...but I've been told otherwise.  If you look closely in the window, you can see some speakers--perhaps a RoomGroove or an SXT-- being tested in the elements...  rain, snow, sleet, salt, wind, sun.  I wonder if I could take my virtual vacation in there.  Get a tan.  Go skiing.

That is too cool!

Amy, keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing your blog and pic of the day.

one more thought....

it could be used quite effectively to tell unruly school children on field trips that this is the Klipsch time out room. Adds sort of a "scared straight!" dimension to the tour.

Wow nice machine, you know at lunch you could jump in there and set it for sun, salt and wind and spend lunch time on the beach.

The tall rack on the left behind the environmental chamber is a magnet charger...Big Magnet Charger!  That thing is stuffed full of very large Mallory capacitors.  I think the cables coming out of the front is 2 gauge wire.  We can charge it to 800 V.  You better have your credit cards elsewhere when you hit the charge button or they won't work anymore.  I can't tell you how many times I have demagged my CC.

The little black box to the left of that is a NEODYMIUM magnet charger.  We also have a larger one for FERRITE magnets.

Cool stuff huh?
