There Are Worse Things to be Addicted Too

Weekend Photo

My mother's day gift.  A complete surprise, considering I've never owned an iPod, nor indicated that I ever wanted one.   Kind of like how it look me until 2004 to get a cell phone.  It's true.

My second gift:  Please remove child from my lap.  It's making it too difficult to burn CDs.  Must.  Burn.  Them.  All.

Happy Mother's Day!

Nice iPod.... Steven's qot quite a budget for one so young.

So are you listening through IMAGE or Custom 3?  I suspect IMAGE, I recall something about your small ear canals.

I also have that obsession to burn all my CDs to my mp3 player (an old dinosaur Creative Labs Zex XTra) - my kids don't quite get how cool it is to be able to carry a few hundred CDs worth of tunes in the palm of your hand.  Makes it a lot easier to pack for road trips.  Of course they only have a couple to few dozen CDs.  Now I just need to digitize my vinyl....

I have an adio CD burner I bought a few years back to copy my vinyl to CD - now the goal is to copy to CD and then mp3 or maybe straight to mp3 but probably to CD first.

ENJOY!

Image, of course!  I actually left my headphones at work (why on earth would I bring them home) and had to temporarily use the ones that come with the iPod.  OUCH!!

Nice.  I suspect many Moms would be eager to trade if they could.  I have yet to copy many (100 or so) CD's to my "computer library" as I remain with intentions to do.   I have a Squeezebox which allows for wireless play from the computer through my stereo, allowing me to utilize my Klipsch Speakers for maximum enjoyment of tunes.  My ipod shuffle doesn't hold as much, so it gets the new music downloads, instead of the classic CD's.

I'm thinking you may well be the person to ask a question that I have.  In considering the Klipsch phones, it appears that the closest thing to push to hear is using the Custom 3's and leaving them hung on the ear, not seated in the ear canal????   As a mom, I imagine you will face the "occassional" interuption to your listening by your three year old.  Using the Image, I wonder if you will tire of removing and replacing them???

I'm currenty using earbuds in connection with a personal monitor on stage and am considering a pair of Klipsch.   One reservation is that while the isolation effect is great for lower volumes overall, in order to communicate sound helps as my reading lips isn't so great.  I have seen a feature push to hear.  Any chance that's coming with Klipsch?

Actually, if I'm just sitting at the computer, I can have my Image headphones slightly out of my ear canal and hear others ok and they don't fall out.  I wouldn't be able to move around much this way, however...and the sound, of course, isn't as good as when you have a proper seal.  I have not tried doing this with the Custom models.
