Engineering Tip #57: If Curves Don't Turn Out As Expected, Check For Obstacles

Daily Photo

One of the hazards of running outdoor ground plane measurements is the possibility of natural interference, such as rain, thunder, wind, and of course, baby racoons.

Perhaps these little guys thought the KLF-C7 being tested last night was their mommy, back from the crick with craw-dads.  I hope they weren't too disappointed.

Thanks for the shot, Trey!

HEY, that's my KLF-C7- Get out of there you little rascals! I think they were called in by some tone around 16kHz- that's where the sine wave was when I poked my head out and saw fuzzy critters all over my speakers.

uh oh... raccoons will eat about anything....

I hope they didn't make a tasty snack of Michaels speaker.

Did the title of this change or am I really losing my mind?  (maybe a question I shouldn't ask)

Damon, I have been running curves on various Heritage and center speakers in preparation for the Pilgrimage. This involved using several aftermarket networks also. Unfortunately this portion of the program was not used in the workshops.
