The Ultimate in Wife Acceptance Factor (WAF)

Daily Photo

I could no longer resist the adorableness of these little powerhouse speakers from Mirage, and bought this pair to take home with me yesterday.  The best thing about them?  They are potty trained, won't chew my furniture, and don't require shots.  And are still freakin cute.  I think I'll name them.

Those would be one of Mirage's omni-polar models I think.

Definitely a good fit under the Klipsch Audio Technologies umbrella as Mirage's design philosophy is in the bipolar (or is it dipolar) sound propagation.  The omni-polar models intend to dispearse the sound 360 degrees - a major difference to the Klipsch approach so their markets don't overlap too much other than people interested in very good sound.

I'm sure these sound remarkabley good when used properly.

And yes they are "cute".

Some of the first Mirage speakers I heard were very  large bipolar models far out into the room.  Very good sound - probably the best of show at the audio show sponsored by a Dallas area shop when I lived in the Dallas area many years ago - powered by Classe electronics though the larger Amrita models powered by Aragon electronics was pretty close and the reps were a lot more fun....     (ok, nuts, but I'd seem to fit right in)

Enjoy.

You  could name them Duck 1 and Duck 2...................

Make sure to use a subwoofer with them and use the crossover in your receiver. They produce down to a whopping 100 Hz.
