What was your first Heritage experience?

I'm home today with a sick kid, and although he's doing much better, I can't really say the same for myself.  Nothing like spending the entire night cleaning up after an hourly "cookie-toss." And I mean hourly.  From 10pm to 7am.  I didn't realize someone so little could have so much in them available for disposal.

Anyway, enough grossness.  I was looking through my home computer files to see what I could post for my daily photo, and came across this shot, taken during Pilgrimage '05.  It's safe to say this is Steven's first Heritage experience, with hopefully many more to come.

See how happy he looks?  His mouth is wide open in awe.  That's what I'll be telling him, anyway.

Cornwalls that I bought from some guy in the Trader newspaper about 1989. They had survived a house fire because they were in a closet (house burned down around them), but smelled terrible for a couple of years. Paid $300 and had the woofers reconed and other drivers replaced. By today's standards they are beaters but I'll never sell them. They have new veneer in their future.

After a night like that glad that Steven is doing better.

My first Heritage experience was listening to the line up at Custom Audio in North LIttle Rock, AR. 1975

My reaction was pretty much like Steven's.... mouth open in awe of the sound.

A friends Short Horns back in the late 70's. I'll never forgive him for not giving me an opportunity to buy them when he bought Heresy's. (personally, I think he downgraded!)

about 6 years ago my old boss had a pair of heresy's on top of a pair of cornwalls with like thousands of watts to them.  i could feel my clothes and leg hairs moving. i felt like the guy in the old maxewell comercials.

I would have to say that the first time I heard Klipsch heritage was much later than most people, and it occurred at IndyKlipschFans house in his La Scala home theater at the '08 pilgrimage. Breathtaking. Then the next day I got to hear 60th Anniversary Klipschorns. Jaw dropping awe, indeed.

I'm really late to the party.... the first time I really heard Klipsch Heritage was the 60th anniversary Klipschorns at the 2007 Pilgrimage.

J.H. put on the first song he ever heard on Klipschorns (triggering a Marie Osmond comment and an unforgettable response).  Pink Floyd's "Money" never sounded so good.

Jaw dropping awesome good sound.  And who say's horn speakers can't image?  They've probably never listened to Klipsch.

Glad Steven's doing much better.  It's hard when the kids are sick.

I think my first experience hearing Klipsch was at Graham's at Glendale mall (about a mile from where I now live). It was THE stereo shop back in the 70's. They had Advent, BIC, Dahlquist, other brands, but this huge pair of Klipschorns just sounded LIKE THE MUSICIANS WERE IN THE ROOM WITH YOU. I knew that this was The Ultimate. 32 years later I got the opportunity to buy a pair.

I hope I don't have to wait 32 years after 1st hearing Klipschorns to get a pair.... but it did take me almost that long to get my first Klipsch as I'd thought since I started reading audio magazines around 1977 / 1978 that Klipschorns would be my dream speaker and that Klipsch are hard to beat.

Amazingly after finally hearing Klipschorns they still are my dream speaker though maybe now the Jubilee version might be and the Palladiums sound really good too.

I've yet to hear a proper Jubilee demo and I'm not sure I've heard anything sound better than the 60th Anniversary Klipschorns at Pilgrimage 2007 and with a Belle in 3 speaker stereo arrangement at Pilgrimage 2008.

I believe the bar I worked at in 83 had LaScalas hanging all over the place.  When I bought my KG5.2's in 90 I listened to Khorns very breifly.  Then in 2003? met 3DZapper (where is he) and listened to his Khorn system, thats the first time I heard an LP sound better than a CD.  Then in 2005 or 6 I bought LaScalas....
