Now That's a Record!

Hunter brought back dozens of unusually sized LPs that look like this one - big, red, semi-transparent, and a bit weathered - which are 1950s sound effects records by the World Broadcast System.  Paul apparently had a stack of them a few feet high.  They are cool looking, but what would be even cooler is to actually have something to play them on.  Although I'm thinking they would make really funky wall decor somewhere in this building.  Hmmm.....

Ya got a building full of engineers... I suppose they could cobble something together?

Would a turntable with a 12" tonearm do the trick? SME3009 has an elongated arm that mates to may Thorens turntables and others as well.

Sweet! I betcha my nephew would love to scratch that all up, being a hip-hop artist and all... pretty sweet looking picture. How big is it in diameter, and does anyone know the speed it turned at?

I am sure someone could whip up a means of playing it.

That's a 16 incher, not sure of the speed.  And yes, I'm sure someone here could figure it out! :)
