GROUPIES!

Ok, so my blog title is tongue-in-cheek given the recent controversy over our new fan-section of the website.  Couldn't resist.

These fine gentlemen from our forum (NOT scantily clad loose women who follow rock bands) gathered in Indianapolis over the weekend to celebrate their common love of music, speakers, and all things audio.  I was able to spend some time with them briefly here at the office - always a pleasure - and I hear they had a lot of fun working the Broad Ripple Teen Arts and Music Festival on Saturday.  I little birdie also told me these wild partiers whooped it up in recliners Saturday night, poking fun at some really old rockers before sawing logs themselves by 11pm.  The times they are a changin'.

Side note: We hope to be able to hold the now quasi-annual official Pilgrimage next summer! Stay tuned...

Yeah.  We had a BLAST working the music festival.  Michael's system was KILLER!  Regrets to everyone who've never head an amped up MCM system (plus!) for live music.  The sound was incredible.

Even the small "acoustic" stage system sounded really good.  A heck of a lot better than 2 speakers on stands have a right to sound.

Sawing logs at 11 PM?  We were probably finishing up the Some Guy's Pizza and watermelon at 11 PM before poking fun at some really old rockers... though I'm sure we were quite the motley looking crew... and thankfully nobody took any pictures....

I'm sure it was at least o dark thirty before the log sawing began and maybe 1:30'sh before Professor Thump departed for home?

I have been called worse.

Now if we were thought of as Amy's forum groupies it might not be so bad.

We'd only loaded a ton of gear the previous day, awoke at 6:30 to finish the work on Sat am., unloaded and stacked the ton of gear, worked an event for 11 hour, reloaded, moved and unloaded the ton of gear. THEN the guys had their pizza and a nap around 12 or so (some were up until 2). I thought it well deserved but it was hilarious seeing us sleeping in front of Rolling Stones blaring from LaScalas at about 100 db!
