Credit Where Credit Is Due

Last Friday marked my 9th year with Klipsch.  Hard to believe I was still (barely) in my 20s when I climbed a board the crazy train.  Now here I am, sitting on 40s back porch, pausing for just a minute to take in the air before heading inside.

One of my initial job duties was to manage the heavily trafficked ProMedia section of our forum.  It was so busy in fact, at times I was quite overwhelmed.  Thank goodness for the devoted members who helped me through, most notably a 16-year-old kid with a passion for great audio.  Justin_TX_16 is now 24 years old, has almost 14,000 posts on our forum, is a student of life, and an amazing photographer.

I don't think I ever properly thanked Justin for lending a hand back in the day, so I'm taking the opportunity to do so now - by posting one of his breathtaking works of art, the quality of which I can only dare to aspire to.  This one happens to capture the beauty and power of one of my favorite places on earth - Niagara Falls.

You can find this and many other amazing photos on Justin's website

Don't sell yourself short in the photo department, Amy.  You are a great photographer, merging excellent images with truly meaningful prose.  I love the autobiographical nature of your blog.  WAY more interesting to me than technically "perfect," rule-of-three (whatever that is ;^) sterile images devoid of soul.  Not saying others don't deserve praise, but your shots have a way of connecting with something deep in us.  Keep up the good work!!

Justin's work that I've seen before is awesome and I just love this shot of Niagra Falls.  Very stunning.

I'll concur with Fini, Amy, that your photographs and the text with them are pretty amazing too.

Keep up the good work!

Jeeze, I just re-read my comment above!  I in no way want to imply that other photographers' work on the forum is somehow "devoid of soul!"  On the contrary, Michael's, Justin's, Fenderbender's (and others!!) works are all very soulful.  Maybe I'm just a big fan of Steven! ;^)  Anyway, sorry if I offended anyone.

Aw, thanks guys.  I have a lot to learn, but I'm glad you are enjoying my posts and pics :)

Yes.

Michael's, Fender's and others is also exceptional and quite stunning.

Makes me want to get a D-SLR and learn how to take photographs again rather than pictures... (too lazy/cheap to bother with film)

This post really made my day.  For all the help I may have provided, I did get something back, the Klipsch community.

Much of my the majority of my high school career was wrapped up in the bulletin board.  Through the good and the bad, Klipsch and it's community was always there for me in celebration and recovery.

Thanks Amy for creating such a welcoming environment for the 16 year old nerdy (albeit quite handsome...hehe) coming-of-age audiophile that showed a slight addiction to resolving people's technical problems.

Oh, and wow, the photography comment(s).  Makes me blush!  I love going through all the other BB members' photos.  I remember talking NIkon with several of them at the Pilgrimage.  Interesting how the two hobbies (read obsessions) connect.
