The traveling duo has been spotted again, escaping from the deluge of snow to bask in the Florida sun. Lucky ducks.
Spotted at Ron Jon surf shop on Cocoa Beach, they were apparently shopping for some gear to hang six. No doubt they listened to Beach Boys tunes on Klipsch speakers there as well. Doubly lucky ducks.
I remember my last trip to Cocoa Beach. I was just shy of 16. Allow me to reflect on that a moment.....
Thanks.

Next stop, Knoxville, TN!
We have the greatest customer support team ever. Really. Ever. This small group assists every Klipsch, Jamo, Energy and Mirage caller on the planet. Either they are that good, or the products are. I'm thinking both.
This giant horn representation has been hanging proudly in the engineering foyer for many years now. For anyone who missed the tour, here's what it all means.
Central Indiana is finally starting to emerge from it's snow-funk. I can hear the snow melting as temps hover above freezing. We don't get too excited since it always snows during high school basketball sectionals, but I won't complain if it does. At least it will temporarily hide the nasty dark gray sludge that's slow to run down the drains. Carmel (my hometown) is playing Fishers (my current town) in the first round this year. Gotta love the win-win scenario.
In the meantime, I'm counting the days until this is the view out Steven's bedroom window again.
I just love shiny things. This pretty piece of ancient shininess is under the cover of an Altec 290 compression driver that's been hanging out at the museum for the past few decades. It's on eBay now as part of our house cleaning/revitalization efforts, if you're into such things. Gigantically heavy horn to match, listed separately.
I'll just say it. It's been a long week. Longer than most in recent memory. I can't even put a finger on why...it's simply been one of those weeks where I'm more clutzy, more spacey, and more detached than usual. You know, the kind where you put the milk in the pantry and forget about it until the next day. Or the water dispenser on your fridge gets stuck in the on position. Or your 5-year-old smashes your cheekbone with his skull while leaping onto your lap. I'm sure you can relate.
So today, I'm going out on a high note. Or at least a funny one.
Remember a few weeks ago when I blogged about the Best Hoodie Ever? Here it is again, in a re-creation of one of my favorite work photos ever.
Thanks for the laugh, Don. I needed that.
I forgot about this bike, now it's covered in snow.
I forgot the gate is stuck, since I don't have to mow.
I forgot what it's like to ride, the ice is so thick.
So in I will stay, until it's the snow I forget.
Ok, so I realize I just posted the first quarter recipient less than a month ago, but that's just how the fall season rolls around here. That award was for July/Aug/Sept, while this quarter is marked by Oct/Nov/Dec. It seems we are just getting around to choosing and announcing the winners, but hey, we had speakers to sell!
This quarter the award goes to a shocked Product Development Specialist, Matt, seen here with Fred Klipsch. I'm guessing he was shocked because he's either "never won anything in his life," or he was surprised that he made such a convincing display of actually getting work done.
And I hope he knows I'm kidding, because no one works as hard or is as responsive and helpful as Matt. <applause>
The Klipsch Museum of Audio History, Hope, Arkansas. Gettin' snowy.
For those who might be new, this was the first Klipsch factory building, formerly the telephone exchange building for the Southwest Proving Grounds. The first Khorn built here is numbered 121.

Thanks, Sharyl, for the pic!
Be on the lookout for this LightSpeaker display at a retailer near you to listen and see what the buzz is about. You probably won't find my lovely cube neighbor, Meredith (sorry guys), but you will get to hear her voice!
It appears the groundhog definitely had cause to see his shadow last week. Snow today. Snow Friday. Snow Sunday. Snow Monday. Snow next Thursday. Snow next Friday.
You get the picture.

What does this mean? I suppose it could be one of two things. To quote one of my all-time favorite movie characters, Phil Conners (Groundhog Day):
"When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and
bereft of hope. Yet we know that winter is just another step in the
cycle of life. But standing here among the people of Punxsutawney and
basking in the warmth of their hearths and hearts, I couldn't imagine a
better fate than a long and lustrous winter."
Or:
"You want a prediction about the weather, you're asking the wrong Phil.
I'll give you a winter prediction: It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be
grey, and it's gonna last you for the rest of your life."
That about sums it up for me. Depending on the day.
Well, football season is finally over. We don't even have the post-Super Bowl Pro Bowl to cling to this year. It simply all goes away.
While I was glad to see Drew Brees get the recognition he deserves, and an Indiana University Alum gained some notoriety in a sport IU is not known for (do they even have a team?), it's always hard to see your home team loose the big one. Especially when your 5 year-old is a fan.
Although I'm still not sure if the tears welling in his eyes had to do with the Colts loss, or the looming bedtime. It's a toss up.
