I typically try to post a song every Monday morning:
a. to start my week off in a good mood, and
b. because they are the easiest kinds of posts for me and I don't like to think too hard on Mondays.
Clearly, I failed this week, with the holidays and blizzard and all, but I'm here now!
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, aside from having a bizarre and wonderful name (what is a magnetic zero??) have a great indie-folk vibe, and are just as entertaining to watch as they are to listen to, thanks to their somewhat eccentric lead singer Alex Ebert. (No, not Edward Sharpe... fooled you!)
I was first introduced to this song a few months ago while watching the fun concert/road film Big Easy Express. It's easily accessible to watch online if you have about an hour to kill. And it includes Mumford and Sons....which was the big draw for me. Naturally. But I love this as well:
We laugh until we think we'll die,
barefoot on a summer night
Nothin' new is sweeter than with you
And in the streets we're running
free like it's only you and me
Geez, you're somethin' to see.
Ahh, Home
Let me come Home
Home is wherever I'm with you
