Aware of the impending cold snap this week, I set out Saturday early evening to squeeze in a semi-warm-weather-hike in the hopes of catching some photo-ops of a cool sunset. Turned out I got more than I bargained for. 

The golden side is where the sun was actually setting, and the arc followed a front-line of clouds all the way over into an explosion of pink on the eastern horizon. Strange indeed. 

And I'd like to take this moment to say I love the panorama feature on my iPhone camera. Except at this particular moment, my fingers were frozen and I was having trouble holding the phone steady...but I think it turned out pretty cool regardless.
