    help choosing reference system

Thanks in advance for your advice... I have been researching Klipsch setups for the past few weeks, reading both here and at AVSForums in the Klipsch owner's thread, trying to learn all i can. Unfortunately i havent had the chance to audition any of the reference line, i work a best buy that is Non-Magnolia(i'll avoid price talk for courtesy) My issue stems from what specific models of speakers are available to me that i can choose, below are the reference models i can get. Bookshelves RB-61 and RB-51 Floorstanders RF-82 and RF-62 Center Channel RC-52 only (yeah i've heard all about the RC-62) Surrounds RS42 only Subwoofer RW12d and RW10d I've gone back and forth about 5.1 vs 7.1 or even 7.2, but regardless i want to buy everything at once seeing as i dont know how much longer i'll work at the store and wouldnt want to miss out on a kickass system. Seeing as the reference series is not too much more than the synergy series i left those off. This will be part of a home theater that will include a Samsung LED 750 series, an XBOX 360 and a PS3, possibly DirecTV HDDVR I think i'm pretty sure about choosing the Yamaha RX-1800BL, since i get that for a good deal too and it should be more than enough for whatever setup i end up with. So, after all that, what i'm wanting to find out is because of the limitations on choice in the center and surrounds, what would give me the best matching setup? Could i still do the RF-82's if i'm stuck with the RC-52? Bookshelves vs Surrounds in back? which sub works with different setups? so basically i'm looking for everyone's opinion on a few different speaker setups and basic pro's and con's for it. i Did see the Klipsch speaker packages but my choices didnt match up completely. Budget isnt really a concern, this should be kickass for a long time based on all your stories of older models holding up extremely well. The only big question mark besides the above, is i'm moving to a new place soon, so i dont know dimensions or back walls, but i want to go ahead and get the best speakers i can and roll with the punches if i have to do 5.1 for a while.

is the rc-52 the only center you can get?  if thats the case buy everything except that.

     i say:

    RF-82

    RF-52 (edit....i meant RS-52)

    RB-81

    (pick any sub)

buy a rc-64 used, or from a dealer.

i was trying to stick with the ones i get the special pricing on, to save money overall, but if magnolia sells the RC-62 or RC-64 i still can probably get a good deal on it, just not as good as the others. were you saying to use the 52 floorstanders as my rears and the bookshelves as my surrounds? if so would the 62's in back be overkill?

Absolutely not . Unless it's a space consideration . You can not go wrong with having the same speakers as your mains in the back ! 62's all around if you can swing it .

*Klipsh Belle mains , center and surrounds with DeanG Super AA networks in the front 3 and DeanG reworked AA's in the surrounds .
    *Velodyne DD18 sub
*Pioneer Elite receiver feeds a Parasound 5250 amp
    *Sony PS3 60 gig-games
    *Oppo BDP-83 disc player
    *Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HDC HD/DVR
    *Pioneer Kuro 6020FD display

    16 x 22 room , system on the long wall .

playing devil's advocate, since i dont think 62's for all but the sub and center is realistic for me, what surrounds would go will with fronts and rears as the 62's? bookshelf or surrounds? what if i did the 82's instead?

    Re: help choosing reference system

i was saying the rs-52's as surrounds and the rb-61 as rears.  it's best (if possible) to have direct fire for  your rear speaker.  another pair of rs-52's can work as rears, but the rb-61's might work a little bit better (assuming you back isn't at the wall).

    Re: help choosing reference system

what am i losing by dropping down from the RS-52's to the RS-42's? would it be that obvious? and i did not know about the direct fire aspect of the bookshelves, so in a typical 7.1 setup, i could do floorstanding fronts, center channel above or slightly below the DLP, surrounds on the sides, and bookshelves or floorstandings in the back?
