New member with brand new Cherry Heresy IIIs

    Greetings to all,

I am the proud owner of a stunning new set of cherry Heresy IIIs. Arriving via UPS on May 12th,  they replaced my old Infinity SM-102s and what a difference! The first cd I played on the Heresys was Quincy Jones' Big Band Bossa Nova (Theme from Austin Powers) and I heard instruments that I never knew were on the recording.  On the Blue Note 7s Mosaic cd I can actually hear the bass lines instead of just a thud.

I spent about 1 year thinking about what speaker to buy and was influenced by this forum. As a musician and jazz lover I could not be happier. As a high school kid I read a book on speaker design and I remembered thinking that someday I wanted to own a set of Klipsch. It is about 30 years later but now I am here.

Re: New member with brand new Cherry Heresy IIIs

Congrats on the nice speakers.  Like you I wanted a pair forever, but I could never afford them.  Once I finally got a pair used (cheap) I realized that I have wasted the last 30 years listening to lousy speakers, and that if amortized a great pair of Klipsch pays you back and then some.  I am only sorry for the music that I have missed.

Be careful as they are like a bad crack habit!!  Not a day goes by that I don't search for my next pair!

    Currently:
    Fortes - Oiled Walnut.
    CF3s - Cherry.

    Tangents
    4 KSB 1s
Original Advents with the nice cabinet.
    ProMedia Innernets speekirs.
Old, fairly high quality 2 channel stuff to drive.
Bad Hearing, halitosis, nasal hair, TF

Wish list and searching for: Mahogany or Cherry KLF 30s (or 20s), Walnut Cornwall's, Walnut Forte IIs, RB35s. Tube Gear

    Guba Guba Hey!

Congrats on the new Heresys. I'm a new owner also. I just spent the last 8 hours setting mine up. I think we are at the begining of a wonderful relationship.

    Thanx, Russ
