    gfa 555 fuse question

My amp just arrived and i just poped the hood as far as i can see the caps aren,t buldging and nothing seem to be leaking any fluid and no fishy smell (i was told if there was a leak it may smell fishy)I did notice the the fuse on the far left  was different has a much thicker philament and looks slightly bigger than the rest how o make sure the is the correct fuse what should the amp/v on the fuse be. Also the caps look pretty shinny and seem to have some white glue stuuf around them does this sound like they have been replaced.

thanks for all the help guys, jess

The fuses are supposed to be 6A fast blow, 125V (or 250V).

Sounds like the caps have been modified. If they have no plastic sleve over them it might be a good idea to remove them one-at-a-time and wrap some electrical tape around them where the clamp touches. OBSERVE THE POLARITY MARKINGS AS YOU DO THIS.
