HOW TO POST PICTURES ON KLIPSCH FORUM, ONE PER POST

    Locked Reply Contact

    First some basic facts.

    This is a "post".

I wrote this post to help people see how to put pictures in the posts that they will be creating.

A "thread" is a group of posts, linked together, under one heading (or "topic") as shown on the Forum Main Page.

This post is the first post in a "thread" called "HOW TO POST PICTURES ON KLIPSCH FORUM, ONE PER POST".

This first post  contains graphics, illustrating the steps needed to post a picture within a post that you create.

This method only allows you to add one picture per post.

If you want to add multiple pictures to your thread, you must make multiple posts in your thread, adding one picture to each.

    OK? Here we go!

    1) First, click on "Write a New Post" if you are on a forum main page and you want to start a new thread with your picture in the first post

    OR

    1) Click on "Reply" if you are already in a thread and you want to add your picture to a new post, at the end of that thread.

Now a new window will pop up; type what ever you want to say (like I am doing now.)

NOTE: YOU MUST TYPE SOMETHING, EVEN IF IT IS JUST ONE DOT (or comma, anything will do.)

At some point, look above what you are typing, you will see things called "tabs" ; like tabs on a file folder.

These tabs are named "Compose" "Options" "Related" "Preview" and "Smiles Library"

While I am typing, I am in the "Compose" tab.

    2) Now (AFTER I AM DONE TYPING EVERYTHING THAT I WANT TO SAY) I click on the "Options" tab.

The first thing it says in the "Options" tab window is "File attachment " and below that is a "clickable button" that says "Add / Update".

    3) Click the "Add / Update" button .

A window should pop up that says "Upload File" (do you have pop-ups blocked? that could be a problem) and below that you should see:

"Select the file you want to upload using the form below. "

    "Upload File "

"Select a file to upload. "

    4) To the right of that is one of those clickable buttons that says "Browse", Click that Browse button.

A window should pop up showing the contents of your computer.

Search around in that window (that's your computer's contents in that window) until you find the picture that you want to upload and then click on it once.

Next notice that there should be a clickable button that says "open".

    5) Click that open button.

That window that you were searching around in, should disappear and you find your self back at the

"Select the file you want to upload using the form below. "

    "Upload File "

"Select a file to upload. "

And the clickable button that says "Browse", except now, right in front of the Browse button are other (new) words. ignore them at this point.

Please notice that this upload file window has a slider bar at the bottom of it.

    6) Place your mouse cursor on the slider bar and "click and hold it clicked", you can slide the contents of the window to the right or left.

The window should not move, just the words within the window should move.

    7) By sliding the bar to the right, you should expose a new clickable button that says "Save", click that Save button.

The pop-up window will go away and you will be back in the  "Options Tab" window; at the bottom there is a clickable button that says "Post",

    8) click that Post button.

    why isn't this stickied?

The other (and in my opion, easier) way, is to "hot link" pictures that are posted/hosted somewhere else, ie flickr, facebook, instagram, picassa, etc.

Right click on a picture, click "Properties", copy the image address (URL).

In the body of a message post, type "[ img ]" (with no spaces between the brackets and "img" text)  then paste the image location previsoulsy copied, then type "[ /img ]" (again, no spaces in the brackets).

You can post multiple image links/tags in one message.

    example (with spaces)  [ img ]http://solderbuddy.com/wp-content/uploads/klipsch.jpg[ /img ]

    Without spaces:
