    Bypassing Receiver

    Hi,

I have a rx-v3900 it doesn't play all 3d content. Can I bypass the receiver and use my tv speakers to watch 3d movies w/o changing hdmi cables (currently my ps3 is connected via hdmi to my receiver)?

Is there bypass feature that allows me to pass the signal from my ps3 to my tv, through my receiver, but w/o my receiver decoding or translating anything? This way my 3d tv can decode and play the movie and I don't have to unplug or add extra cables to make the bypass.

    please help :/

Hopefully someone doing the same thing will respond.  My be the receiver manufacturer could offer a suggestion. The only way I could think of would be to run the HDMI from the PS3 to the TV directly. But then you would lose the audio connection, you would need to use the TV’s digital audio  out to the receiver…..the one concern here would be the audio signal. Most TV’s will pass digital 2.0 and not 5.1 through that connectionThis is all I can think of, we do not support the video world per say

I do something similar to this, i run the HDMI out to the TV, Optical out to the receiver. you can set the audio settings in the PS3.
