Identification, vintage and value of Speakers

I'm contemplating these speakers as part of my home theater set-up. Does anyone know when the speakers were made and what they're worth? I don't see HD-12 models listed in the current or out-of-production catalogues. I have tried to attach (3) pictures of the speakers and back of speaker labels. Cabinets are unfinished plywood.

They are probably Heresy Decorators. You can only post one picture at a time using the options tab when you reply unless you have a hosting site.

Re: Identification, vintage and value of Speakers

We get the "what are they worth question" alot here.  There's no blue book on the value of klipsch speakers so basically folks will jump in and give an opinion based on different factors.....from all over the country.....some own some do not own the item in question.

Heresy's in general in the northeast sell on craigslist in the 300 - 350 dollar price range.....in the garge section  for about the same.  Ebay a little higher just becuase it's ebay  not that the speakers that are sold on ebay are worth more than the ones sold on craigslist.  I have seen the same model and type speakers that sell for 300 on craigslist one week sell for 450 the next week on ebay.

If you tags are signed by Paul W Klipsh, that would drive the price up quite a bit.  As a general rule, other things that might make them unique has a value difference only to a person who is willing to pay more for such differences....for example...a person has 3 of the speakers you have and want 5 for surround sound might pay more to finish the project.

if you google klipsch model H,and switch to image view, you will see dozens of picutres for Klipsch model H H.D 12

as W.C. inidcated....H.D probally means Heresy Decorator....I think the 12 simply means 12 inch woofer.  Very easy to find Model H H.D. 12 on the internet

Welcome to the Klipsch forum.....hope you stick around.

This hobby began in 1966, when I figured out how to disable my dads stereo by swapping out the driver tubes for RF tubes. He used to like to blast the stereo during the school week til 1 in the morning.

my first crossover network project came in 1972.

my first DIY khorns came in 1986. I built as set of khorns using 18inch drivers, enclosed backs, and used them at an air force base in Germany during all army day.
