is there a comparison w/ these speeks

    Hi,

Since I only own a set of Klipsch h/d 500s I have no history w/ some of the heritage and other models. One model that really appeals to me is the KLF-30 or if those are to big than the 20s.Cruising e-bay I saw a set of 10.5 speakers in great shape for a bin price of $350.First do these 2 different models have anything in common quality ,sound wise and is the price for the 10.5 good or is this a stay away from pair?

KLF20/30 are great as long as the baffles (fron and back) are solid. Set up some Google Alerts for speakers on your local area CL and go do some listening. Have fun.Much to read in the Archives on all the speakere you might be interested in. Don't overlook big old high effiency rigs either like La Scalla or even Peavey SP1 or separates FH-1 and MFX-1  The Peavey will be old and will require new caps in the xover but the bass bins are excellent and as a two way the represent the single biggest bang for your dollar if you have the room and they will get you into some very serious and large top horns in the form of the CH-1. Those alone may spoil you for smaller Klipsch offerings. Best regards and a warm welcome to the forum Moray James.
