Remove me from consideration at this time. The cousins I thought had a straight tray projecter said the oldest daughter has it and has since passed away and aren't even sure if it still worked or if her family kept the slides.

If you two want the carousel's that will work out perfectly... I spent most all of yesterday (ugh) pulling the slides out of the carousels AND the little square trays (used tweezers on 99% of them).

The round carousels are in two boxes but not ready to tape shut just yet. Two boxes...two people....perfect!

Regarding scanner, I'm using a Nikon Coolscan 5000 and have most if not all the adapters for it. It will do rolls of negative film (uncut), cut pieces of film cut into lengths, 50 slides at a whack. I've got a ton of negatives from my travels and now, thanks to both Mom & Dad, I've got a ton of slides that I've been going through.

You do know you can easily spend hoursssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss going through this stuff?!

I've emailed some cousins who would have inherited a projector that uses a straight type of tray so I may be interested in the straight trays if they still use it... or maybe some carousel trays if they've switched / upgraded to that. I'm pretty sure they have quite a few slides of the family that I'd like to see so if nothing else this reminds that I may want to borrow them and scan them into the computer.

I may have spoken up for things near the front of the pack. I thought I might have a cuople of hundred slides. Upon futher thought 200 would probably be optimistic assuming I can find them. The ones I can think of seeing more recently, out in the garage where they've been for over 14 years are Ektachrome from over 20 years ago so may not be in very good shape anyway.

Therefore I'm withdrawing from consideration as it would be months at best before I got around to working on slide projectors needing some work and maybe woulndn't be able to fill more than a single tray. If I do find any slides that I want to keep I can always scan them and worry about finding a projector and/or trays when I need them. I need to declutter and not add more things to the project list at this time.

Though if Amy were to buy lunch for Richard and whoever scores Richards most generous offer I'll be disappointed it wasn't me.

I think one of Dad's cousins had a projector that used those types of trays. No idea of the brand, AGFA maybe? I think the Kodak Carousel were the most popular and seemed to be pretty reliable. I also remember the Bell & Howell with the cubes. Probably saved on storage compared to the carousels but maybe 40 slides per cube?

The straight tray I've seen had a curved arm that pushed the slide into position from the bottom. Maybe a curved arm on the other side pushed it back? Maybe it was more of a semi circle.

So if nobody else wants those I have some cousins who might be able to use them. If not I'm sure I can find someone who can.

Hmmmm.... Amy buying us both lunch at Skyline Chili? Sounds even better.

I've already got a box... without having UPS or post office in front of me I would speculate ground would be under $15? It won't be that heavy.

Would you want all that I have?

Hmmm $10 plus shipping. I might be interested. I'm not sure I have enough slides to justify and many are on Ektachrome and not Kodachrome but it would be nice to see the ones I do have bigger than 4x4".

PM the estimated total cost and I'll let you know. I know some family members also had a lot of slides and I do have maybe a couple of hundred I wouldn't mind seeing. I've not seen too many for sale.

I currently have four of them in my hands, empty, with maybe 6 more to go through (removing slides, scanning family slides and tossing slides of houses, driveways and fences....why my dad took pictures of houses driveways and fences is beyond me...ok, no it's not, he was a developer)

Anyways, I was going to toss them...then decided to put them on ebay for no reserve but charge shipping.... then I thought there might be an outside chance that someone here might want them for the price of shipping, one or all. Figured I'd give this crowd a first shot.

Currently 4 of them are empty, no boxes (the others have boxes but haven't gotten to them yet)

The four that are currently empty are three 80 slot and one 140 slot carousel.

If intersted, send email, pm or say something here....matters not to me. I might just dump them if no interest since ebay will be more headache than I really want to deal with.

Oh, I also have two Kodak projectors. One is dead for sure, might be fixable might be a brick. The other one "works" in that the light comes on but it will not load/unload a picture. Is it a brick also or just need a good cleaning after 40 years of silence? I don't know. I wouldn't mind getting lunch for those so if you're interested, maybe $10 plus shipping? (not taken picture of them yet since I just now thought about offering these things here)
