Howdy - good to see the Palladium thread finally getting some engaging discussions going Smile

I ended up as initially stated, I run two Marantz MM7050 five channel power amps where I use 6 channels to bi-amp the front P39s and the center, then the last for for the side and rear surrounds.  This sounds fantastic, and they give me way more power than I can use.  Even if the P39's for sure can handle a lot more power I don't think i will need to upgrade for a very long time - and the power amps look so good next to the AV7005 processor (and the Palladiums of course).

Sounds to be a very solid setup... Yes, some photo's would be nice....

    Evening from sunny Norway!!

I did post some pictures over in the HT thread a few months ago, but Palladiums deserve to be shared over and over again so I am not difficult to ask Big Smile

Here are a few shots of my setup with a 65" Panasonic - movies are better here than in the theatre!!  Enjoy!!!

And finally the mighty P-39f - what a gorgeous sounding and looking speaker, that boat-tail and side pipes made me return the P-38's I first had when I realized I could fit the 39s - I just love these babies Stick out tongue

     Hi Skule,

What surround sound speaker you use there?

They seem to have different shape.

    Is it P-27S ?

    Re: Palladium 7.1 power

That is correct, those are the P-27s.  Ideally I guess both the side and rear surrounds should have been P-27s but as you can see from my pictures my room is open to one side (to the right) and I have windows on the left, and therefore no walls on either side to hang the P-27s on.  The P-27s don't really make for a good speaker to place on a stand.  I must admit that I also do like the look of the P-17b bookshelves that I use as side surrounds.  So much so that if I had a bigger room I would have contemplated using them as rear surrounds as well, but there was no space.

My rears are a little to close to the listening position as it is but I love the way this setup sounds - it is so immersive.  The first 7.1 bluray I tried just blew me away - no reason to go to the movie theatre anymore, every time we go I am somewhat disappointed with the sound there Big Smile

Very nice, the room looks great. I have only heard the P 39's as a pair, never got to hear even a 5.1, from what I heard with just the pair that has got to be very impressive. Congratulations, are people shocked when the walk in the room ? I would think so !
