Another 5.1 Ultra bites the dust-false alarm

Its a sad say indeed. Just happen to me not 10 minutes ago too. The 5.1 ultra system has been a faithful friend for the past seven years, and is going to be missed. I finally got around to hooking it back up to my computer then it just started having a really loud hissing sound from all the channels. I restarted my computer hoping it was that. Then I disconnected everything hoping a wire wasn't plugged in right. But to no avail the loud hissing sound remains. I have a spare onkyo receiver, I'm thinking about hooking up the ultra's speakers to that, and get a sub sometime down the line.

Just opened up my computer case and my sound card wasn't seated in all the way of my pci slot. Slip the card back in all the way and BINGO, hissing gone, and the 5.1 ultras are back to making sweet tunes once again! happy day!
