Some clips of extreme leaning in the modern era. The new elbow-dragger, Marc Marquez, is impressing everyone, and has sliders on the elbows of his suit, but Casey Stoner was in a league of his own for style. Casey Stoner "elbow-sliding" Super Slow Motion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDhp11mKYyk This is a slide show of some extreme lean angles, on the track and some by extreme posers on the street: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EfqG6YOM1g Slow-mo Moto-GP at Austin in 2013 (Marquez is

Would it be splitting hairs to point out that Doors didn't usually have a bass guitar player? Since Ray played the bass lines, even if he played them on a keyboard, he was the bass player of the band. In any case, he did create some really great keyboard riffs, ones that will live long after him. It's sad to hear of his passing. Another icon of our youth (well, the youth of some of us) is gone, never to be forgotten.

Those are some great deals. I haven't seen any used Heresy IIIs for sale around here. Are there any more of those NiB H-3s around?
Where can I buy Dynamat?
Many car audio shops carry Dynamat, since they use it to damp resonances in car body panels.

The MX-D1. The two power supplies are visible in the section to the far left. The insulated WBT binding posts are visible at the top. The black bars across the right upper centre are the two heat sinks, which gives an indication of the efficiency of the amp. It makes 500 watts per channel, but generates little heat. Unlike pro audio amps, which are designed to sound best when putting out near maximum power, the MX-D1 has its lowest distortion when operating in the 6-10 watt range, making it ideal

Of course they are not too large! However, if you need some guidelines, here they are: 1: Are you able to get into the same room as the speakers? Yes? Then the room is large enough. 2: Actually, Guideline 1 is about it. La Scalas can be used in any room that will physically accommodate two speakers and one listener. If you prefer listening in mono, your room only needs to be large enough to contain you and one (1) La Scala. As for placement, the recommended starting point is usually to arrange the
surprised the Klipsch no longer includes the K-28 woofer in the upgrade kit. The HIII wouldn't be an HIII without a K-28, no? if i'm understanding properly, the HIII crossover is designed for bass output to the 4 ohm K-28 and the 'upgraded HIII' would still have the 8 ohm k-28, right?
That does seem very odd. The deeper and stronger bass is one of the best parts of the update/upgrade.

There will always be a limit to the size of the sweet spot, even with omni-directional speakers. Stereo speakers and recordings try to give the aural illusion of a sound stage that allows you to close your eyes and imagine all the instruments and voices clearly located in space, left to right and front to back. Oddly, it depends not only on the speakers and the recording; even the player, pre-amp and amp contribute to the effect. If the speakers are too far apart, the sound stage disappears, and
thought maybe I should take this out of the FS thread, will start a new one... at $290 per speaker plus shipping and local tax, I'll pass... rather put that toward a new set of HIIIs or more than one set of used HIIs... called Ryan with Klipsch, no longer includes woofers, but high & mid-range drivers & crossover
Since new Heresy IIIs cost around $850 apiece, spending $290 to upgrade an old Heresy II to current H-3 spec (which sounds quite

Time for Klipsch Corp to plunk down 35 cents for an upgrade.
Haha! I think you would be shocked at what I've been quoted. I was.
I'm not shocked that you're shocked. Many salespeople these days start negotiations with crazy prices, because some big companies won't think twice before paying those crazy prices. They're likely trying for "what the market will bear", but your comeback logic
