Don't sell the RF35, just save some money and buy just a used RC35, you'd regret selling the RF's, they are pretty good speakers. I wanted to get some RB myself when i started my system but when i calculated the cost of adding a stand, it almost matched the price of a full size speaker. You will lose money selling the RF's.

I think, now is a good time to spend $4000 - 5000 on HTPC, they are worth it. I've seen some really amazing setup around, and i don't think there is any overkill, they performs just as good as real HT gears.. { almost !!} Don't forget to add the X-Fi elite Pro and the "HT" reveicer that you want... It will be fun.. Some of the games that's out there deserve those big impact sound ... and u get them only from high end sub.. i say go crazy and experience..
