Do you already have the LaScalas? I suggest hooking them up.

You may want to post this in the powered sub forum. I was reading about this amp. Partsexpress has a 500 wpc BASH amp for $229 or $199 ea if you buy 2 or more. How good are these amps? They sure are inexpensive. I have some Rockform Fosgate subwoofers from the 1990's and Cerwin Veg subwoofers from the late 1980's that I was thinking about building some smal sealed boxes for, and using these amps and doing an in wall install for a home theater.

Thanks for the replies. I just had a few audio friends over and we did some comparing this preamp with a very highly regarded integrated and each of them told me I was crazy to let this go, so I am keeping it. It helps to have some input from others some time. This was the first chance that I had to compare, this preamp won hands down. Oddly enough it was the delicate items that won out from such a powerhouse. I guess that I am still in business with this.

I would worry much more about how smooth each amp is. Your La Scalas can sound wonderful or painful, depending on amps. Can you listen to eah amp first? If not look here for what some others are using. The QSC PLX amps do very well. As far as power, yu don't need to worry. I just bought new speakers that are rated at 200 wpc, my old speakers were rated at 1,000 wpc. I have 700 wpc (at 4 ohms) channel monoblocks that I used before with my old speakers (3 to 4 ohm speakers). After some comparison

What value of caps do you need? I have a few 6.8 uF Clarity Cap SA's collecting dust, they can be sold cheap. I used the Clarity Cap PX series when I rebuilt the crossovers in a pair of B&W's from the mid 1980's. The PX series is very affordable and scores almost as well as the SA's on the Humbolt Hi Fi page. They also look very much like the caps that came in a pair of B&W N801's that I used ot have. If they are good enough for speakers that are $10,000+ they should do

I really like the look and the feel of this stuff: http://www.performanceaudio.com/cgi/product_view.cgi?products_id=5639 Mogami 11 gage wire. Really nice high quality stuff and you are paying for quality, not hype. Home Depot sells grey jacketed 12 ga and 14 ga in wall wire that is very nice quality, but the Mogami just feels so nice.

Raising Arizona was a great film, Cohen Brother's early work. Never saw Leaving Las Vegas. Face Off and 9MM collectively stole 3 1/2 hours of my life and I want them back. His movies are as bad as his fiscal sense, standard Hollywood cookie cutter garbage. I'm not saying that I would not have made all of those terrible films for the money, I would in a heartbeat, but they are still all very bad.
Once again a very rough idea, getting wrapped up in some other projects, so haven't as much time to play around, but will keep on trying.
Hey, I really like this one. How about without the symbol around it?
I don't fault him for his successes - like I said, I've enjoyed him in the movies I have seen, but it sounds like he's certainly to blame for where he is now. I hope he can turn it around.
It will be easy for him to do. If he did some exemption planning and has money in legal and relaible asset protection shelters, he can file BK. he will lose all unshelterted assets, but so what, he has income potential. He will need to not work or have income
