  • Re: Heresy's on Ebay

Daddy Dee: Marshall, Ash would be right. I often get oak and ash confused when I look at them. It's hard to tell sometimes; I had to pull out the veneer sample sheets just to make sure it wasn't Anigre. I've seen a Klipschorn or Corwall, can't recall which, that was Anigre veneered; at a distance it...

  • Re: regarding jolida tube amps....

It's age, some things get dusty and get a little funky, the controls on my mom's old Macintosh equipment make noise because of dust in the potentiometers. Once you get buy it, all still sounds good.

  • Hmmm...

Someone just offered me a 1984 pair of Heresy I's for my RF-52/RC-52/RW-10D.. Are the sonic characteristics that dissimilar, can I get a conversion kit ? I was thinking of holding back on the RW-10D, really cool piece of work.

I returned the RC-10 for an RC-52...and I understand that there is a conversion kit to make the Heresy II's into III's, if so I will take one. Is there another speaker company besides of Klipsch ?

  • Re: Crites tweeters?

I just did an A/B between my crites crossover/woofer HII's (vintage 1986) and my 2000 HII's...the crites equipped stuff definetly sparkle more.

  • Re: Heresy IIs are just terrific

I just called Klipsch Parts, first of all they assured me all is made in Arkansas, and the cost is $272 per speaker, new woofer, midrange, tweeter, gaskets, screw, etc. This is a totally great deal.

I am keeping th HII guts as either a center channel project or a lilscala project. They are some really great guts.
