Replace Speaker terminal on ProMedia GMX 2.1

I upgraded the speaker wire on my ProMedias to 14 gauge (and soldering the rca connector onto one end was NOT fun). But now I find the 14 gauge wire is too big for the tiny, spring-loaded speaker terminals on the back of the GMX 2.1 sub-woofer...and the connection is just cheesy. Has anyone replaced...

I posted on this a few months ago... Thanks to the good folks on this board, I found the DeOxit solution. After removing the 10 screws (at least 2 too many) the rest was simple and the full volume control, crackle-free sound, and quality audio was restored -- for a while. After about a month left on...

Isn't it interesting that I am having the same issue that can be fixed by pressure and twisting. I have fixed similar issues to this one by re-soldering the joints of parts on a problem board. I haven't tried with these speakers yet and I don't know if I should. I might just go ahead and...

I contacted Klipsch support and they had this to offer regarding the subwoofer: "Sub - do you happen to have an adapter for the power cord that converts from a three prong cable to a two prong cable? If so, try using this with the subwoofer and see what happens. This is called a ground lift adapter...
