  • Khorn tweeter upgrade

Due to the rest of my systems capabillities, I felt that my existing tweeters was a limitation. Of that reason I purchased and installed a pair of the new Fostex T500AmkII today. The T500AmkII has 110db sensibillity, dual AlNiCo magnets and magnesium driver. I have Alkeng ES5800 tweeter xo, so adjusting...

  • RF-25 Tweeter

It appears the tweeter on my RF-25 is not good. I took the speaker apart to make sure it was pugged in correctly as were the woofers and they all looked ok. The tweeter on the right speaker sounds much fuller so I put the speaker cable from the right speaker on the left speaker and the tweeter sounds...

  • Re: Forte ll ready to mod

You might have referred to one of my posts where I spent $113 including shipping for the tweeter diaphragm upgrade and crossover repair kits from Bob Crites. I installed the tweeter diaphragms and the new capacitors in my Forte II crossovers. For me, performing these upgrades was easy. If you don't...

  • Re: RF-25 Tweeter

Anything I need to know about changing out the tweeters? I just ordered two, and looking forward to getting these back to life. The woofers sound great, but it's very muddy without those highs. When taking the cover off I noticed the tweeter also had the large piece of plastic around it. Does that...

  • RF-25 Resistance Question

Anyone know the resistance/ohms of the RF-25? I believe the two tweeters in my pair of RF-25's are dead. I took them out today, and checked the resistance/ohms. Not sure of the terminology. I came up with a reading of .4 on both sides. I was wondering if that sounds right, and what exactly does that...

  • WTB: RC-35 grill, RC-35 tweeter (k130 or k137), RF-35 stands/spikes.

Bought an RC-35 without the grill, looking for a replacement, the new price through klipsch is extortion so I'm hoping someone has one used but in good condition for a reasonable price. The tweeter was also blown so I'm looking for a spare k-130 or k-137 tweeter - I have one on order from klipsch...

  • Hole in tweeter

Recently got a decent deal on a pair of SF1 floor standing speakers. on one of the speakers the woofer was not firing and the tweeter played but was buzzing... alot. I took everything apart and the woofer does not seem to carry a current through it and the tweeter has an actual HOLE in about 4mm across...

  • Hooking up horn tweeter to custom Fostex speakers

I purchased a pair of custom built speakers with 4" full-range Fostex drivers(A). They were built with two sets of binding posts to add an external tweeter. They sound good as-is but when I hook up a sub the highs are a little light. I'm thinking of adding a set of Magnavox horn tweeters(B)...

  • Black Klipsch Forte II's ,Heresy HWO Walnut with both stands, Klipsch Forte II parts except for passives

Hi all !! Happy New Year. The subject line pretty much says it all. I need to make room!! The Forte II's in black have new stands just like the orig except in solid oak. You cannot tell as they are exactly like the orig. The orig is oak veneer on mdf which is not the best stand material. The solid...
