• Set-up Question - I'm lost.

I have a pair of F3 s and Marathon DJ-2000 . I am really quite lost on how to get the two to cooperate. I about an XLR to standard stereo connector so that I could plug my ipod into the amp directly, but I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do. Should I music through a mixer or a receiver first...

  • Do I really need an AMP?

Recently I had the urge to read about amplifiers (the one piece of equipment that I don't have but somehow felt I should). Before I get started, this is what my setup consists of: RF-63 Fronts RC-64 Center RS-62 Rears RT-12d Sub Yamaha RX-V3800 Receiver ... the rest is irrelevant at this point. My...

  • A Audio newbie that recently purchased a Kiplsch Heresy H-WO...what should I do?

Hello Guys, I recently purchased a Klipsch Hersey H-WO floor standing speaker this past weekend. The sound was amazing until my receiver blew (Old 90's Onkyo receiver). I don't know much about audio equipment but I want to purchase either a new receiver or amp. What are your recommendations?...

  • Ultra ProMedia 5.1 Subwoofer problem

Last night I had my center speaker make some crackling noises while I wasn't using the computer. Made the sounds for maybe a few seconds at the most. Both the comp and audio were on but idle. An hour or so later I started my music and no sound would come out. I've checked everything on the comp...

  • Why does my amp cut out?

I have a 25 year old set of Heresy speakers that have performed flawlessly. A couple years ago, I was forced to change amplifiers to a cheap 80 watt unit and noticed that when the volume was turned up 2/3 of the way, the reciever woul just shut off. For Christmas I just an out and bought another low...

  • Re: Khorns with Sub

Try it you may like it. Seriously, Khorns are very amplifier-sensitive. Run with a good compatible amplifier they don't need a sub and you will get the advantage of their very tight, fast, full bass. My challenge though has been running them in a three-channel audio setup with a Belle center, ergo...

  • Re: Audio clipping problems
That's very interesting. I have noticed the same problem occasionally with my FIOS service. It records the same way on the dvr, that's why in my case i know it's the feed. It just goes to show you, it's always something!
Isn't FIOS supposed...
Sounds like you have a problem with your satellite receiver audio output. I would contact your provider and get them to help troubleshoot.
I've gone the satellite troubleshotting route, but because the sound trouble does not include when I replay a time...

  • Re: Audio clipping problems

Hi, The sound gets chopped when I am watching a movie/Tv show I've pre-recorded on my PVR, and also when I am watching live Tv in HD. The sound just drops for about two seconds, maybe every 10 to 20 minutes, and if I skip back the PVR to replay the last segment where the dropped sound was, then I...
