  • Walking Subwoofers

I have a pair of 9 cu ft Subs I built in trianglur boxes that are corner mounted. They look a lot like K Horn bass bins. The 15 inch high X Max drivers fire down, as do the two ports tuned for the EBS alignment. The subwoofers have 3 "legs" to raise the woofers/ports approx 8 inches off the...

  • Sub-woofers: Part I

Ahhh, the subwoofer. What a modern miracle. It is up there as one of the best inventions ever, in my book (others might be the wireless remote control, the drum set, and the inline six cylinder from BMW, but I digress…). 1981: Life as a teenager. I remember it like yesterday. As a kid growing...

  • Measuring Subs

This was taken last summer while our engineers were running curves on some subwoofers. I still find it funny that we do this outside - seems primitive amidst all this technology, but I've been convinced it's the best and most accurate way to measure low frequencies. Honestly. • help with my sub-12

Okay. So I'm completely new to this forum. But im sure someone here can help me. I had my sub 12 for over two years now the problem hasn't really bugged me until now. Basically, the problem is, my sub 12 kicks in and out when it feels like it. While playing games, music, movies, the sub almost...

  • 5.1 audio WITHOUT a sub?

Hi all, I'm finally upgrading to 5.1! (yay, took me how long?) Thing is, I have a pair of Klipsch Chorus-II speakers which means I really do not need a sub. The Chorus-II's cover the bass range so well I could not ask for better. I'm wondering if NOT having a sub will be a problem for getting...

  • RT-12d keeps blowing fuses

I have an RT-12d subwoofer that keeps blowing fuses. When the fuse that it came with (a T6.3AL250V fuse) blew, I replaced that fuse with another T6.3AL250V. The instant I turned it back on, that fuse blew. So I replaced that one. Same thing. And again. Any suggestions?

  • The New Subs are Here! The New Subs are Here!

Sorry I've been MIA for a while, folks. Lots of time-consuming big things going on, even after the major product releases. I would love to tell you all about how Steven tried to paint his face at the Colts game with a wet, blue M&M to show his team spirit, but I will leave you with this for now...

  • Klipsch sw-350 fuse replacement

Bought a second-hand Klipsch sw-350 subwoofer from an auction for $60.00. Took it home and tried to turn it on but didn't power on. I noticed that the fuse was missing along with (i am assuming) the fuse cap. If I replace the fuse (T3.15AL 250V fuse), do I have to have the fuse cap in order for this...

  • SW-450 Sub, no sound - have to pull plug

Hi all, I hope you can help. I have a new SW-450, and two F-20s, running off a Yamaha HTR-3063 receiver. The sub will not automatically work, it does not produce sound... unless I manually pull its power plug and plug it back in, sometimes twice. Then its fine, until the next day when I have to do the...
