For the price if someone wanted a new tape player it’s probably a better choice. Fiio seems from my experience to make decent stuff.

and that audiophile op-amp is less than a dollar.

Driving your speakers with more power than they "need"
Shakeydeal replied to CWelsh's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I agree with “good, solid, high end” part. But we part ways with the high power part. My 300B amp sounds bigger and bolder than amps with 10 x the power. Of course it would fall square on its face with the wrong speakers. -
Me neither..that's what everybody says..then one day they turn around and their wallet is empty and they can't feed their family.

Sounds like the OP is only going 40 and at that speed no difference. What if you had a V24 doing 80, is that better than a V12? -
Jeesh @Dave1291 stay safe.

It was $38 to ship to NY. Mendon pays for half the return shipping cost. I have no involvement or interest in politics.

lemme guess..the shipping back and forth cost more than the repair? Let's go Brandon!!

After my second BAR 48 died, Klipsch gave me a Cinema 600. It had just become available. Unfortunately, it only lasted a few months. I was then given a Cinema 800. Search these community forums for "Cinema 800" to learn more. Both the Cinema 800 & 1200 have reliability issues too but far fewer than the BAR 48 and the Cinema 600 do. Early firmware updates were a disaster but the latest ones are stable. You should be quite happy with your Cinema 800. I am. 🙂

And only $109 on Amazon.

Does it drive all frequencies at equal SPL for a whole duration or just in spurts. I think duty cycle on a welder or air compressor? -

I would go as far as saying 2 of the same manufactures, with the same topology, etc. For example, Parasound HCA-750 versus Parasound HCA-1000. -

More follow up, I just got off the phone with the folks at JEM performance. They still rebuild crossovers so I will send them mine and they can make sure everything is up to snuff. I can solder but this way they can inspect everything and replace / correct as needed. -

while you are in the woofer doghouse run a bead of glue along all seams and replace gasket material on the bottom piece of plywood, this insures a air tight seal of the doghouse -
