    • Seriously?  I can honestly tell the difference.  Did a lil bit of an A/B test yesterday and there's a vast difference just like I knew there would be.  The compression game sucks for sure.  It does fill a void though with one's level of worthlessness.  😂
    • Not yet. However, I've been watching online sales for a while so I have an idea when they are going for... I'm comfortable with the deal we have tentatively struck, I just wanted to be aware of any known issues... provided they are just good, solid, old La Scalas I should be in good shape.   I'll update the post once I have a chance to see / listen to them in person.
    • Has anyone given you an idea of price once a buy is in the offing? Have a relaxed time and trade...
    • The seller is going to have them set up so I can listen to them before we complete the deal.
    • I would want to hear them before buying. Look for pealing/delaminating of plywood, dinged corners, water damage, etc.
    • You might want to sit down before you read this: I contacted Klipsch and let them know that I had seen this was an on-going fairly common problem and wondered if they were covering it with an extended warranty. THEY ARE REPLACING MY CINEMA 600 WITH AN 800!!! They no longer make the 600 so they are replacing it with the 800. I'm so gobsmacked, I'm telling myself that I'll believe it when it shows up (in 5-10 business days). I'm wondering if I am delusional when I read the e-mail and receipt for it!  That was a short shelf life for the 600 so my guess is they quit making them because of the power supply problem. This problem has to be costing Klipsch a lot.  Not to be ungrateful but I hope the 800 has a more robust PS. At least, now I'm ready. If it has the same power supply, when it goes, I have the one I just got from Amazon! LOL! (and bonus: Now I know I need a set or Torx drivers!) Thank you Klipsch!
    • I am not aware of any production quantity records of these, nor PWK being heavily involved in the run.  Sorry.
    • I had the predecessor of that one for a little while. The ATLP-5. It would not allow me to hook it up to a preamp like it stated it would. Maybe the newer model corrects that.   Not that particular cart, but it's a Microline and that is great! They operate with less weight because it fits the record groove better, don't wear out the LP like some rounded types actually do. I've preferred that brand for decades because of the clear separation of the high end, the clean bass and all around tonal qualities of Audio Technica. & I loved the chunky look of the ATLP-5!
    • Yessiree! It "keeps the sound" in!!
    • usps is baaaaad, m'kay? They mark stuff as delivered when it is not delivered! Like yesterday here! And a dozen times before.   * My doorbell takes videos of any & all activity on the second hundred feet of my drive up here! no notifications, No video = nobody was here.   They forged my signature once a couple years ago when I was in the ghettos of a sc swamp! That forgery was listed as an alias when I closed on my home!! I don't have aliases.    Not only baaaad but criminal. No, they're exempt but I did get my $300 back.   "There's no Place Like Home!" huh Dave? Updraft before the storm can be pretty bad, then you know what's coming! Glad you only got rocked and not rolled!
