    • Thanks Travis, I'm in Eastern end of Nebraska.
    • Welcome to the Forum you will get some great response. What general area, state are you in, there might be a forum member close by with Fortes.   I own the KG4, bought original in ‘86, still love ‘em. I don’t own the Forte IV, but have a lot of listening time in Hope, it won’t be a subtle change, and will sound significantly better to you in my opinion.   Travis
    • So they got it going again only for it to go back down again. Looks to be up and running smoothly again, so let’s hope.   Thanks to all for getting us messages that it looked to be down again. Thanks to IT team that got us up and running again.   Travis
    • Greetings. I'm having a hell of a time trying to decide on buying Forte IVs.    Have KG4 and have enjoyed them for a few years. Always wanted to upgrade to heritage line but I never heard them as there are no dealers in my area.   My listening room is rectangular 10×20. Speakers split by fireplace and would be approx. 15 feet apart, sitting position about 12 feet away. Integrated amp is 2-channel 100-watt solid state Yamaha.   Read/watched many reviews. Some rave about Fortes. Some say horns can be fatiguing/harsh.   Is upgrading from KG4s to Fortes a fairly safe bet that enjoy the upgrade?   Thanks for any insight. I wanna get this right.
    • What’s left and Prices Please, let see if we can do about getting this stuff sold for Gil.   One option you guys might want to consider is that if you can get the remaining items down to Hope we could do a live/silent auction of these items during the Pilgrimage- Birthday Bash in early March( just a couple of weeks), set up payment direct to Gil, or his designee.   Travis
    • @Antichrysler Welcome to the Forum and good luck on your search.    There are some pinned topics above about wanted to buy ads in the past, be very careful with private messages sent from new members, or ones with very low boat counts.    Let us know if you need any help.   Travis
    • you call THIS alive?
    • I recently acquired a Yamaha A-S2200 for my Forte IV's. I have only played the amp for five hours and I don't find it flat at all. Big soundstage, clarity, good tonal balance and plenty of slam along with nice separation of instruments.  As for the low volume performance, no need for a loudness switch or to adjust the tone controls. Plays great at low volume. I have played Sansui Eight, Eight Deluxe and Six, Marantz 2325, Mcintosh MA5300 with the Forte IV's and I find the A-S2200 to be a better match to my ears. I even played my HH Scott 222b tube amp and I find the 2200 a better match but maybe I am solid state guy.
    • Buy the pair and put them both in the center.   Easier to find and sell a pair
