  2. Stop, your are braking my heart. 29 degrees and HEAVY snow here in Upstate New York. I am so friggin' sick of winter. It was 84 degrees on Monday. What the hell is going on? I am skipping the coffee and going with straight Kahlua.

  3. I just did the same thing to a pair. It also had the old 10 gauge greenish oxidized monster cable and the AK networks. I have ran them with two different Klipsch style networks and Deans Super X network, previously known as the Super AA. I also bypassed the fuses and bottom caps. What year model are these Minermark?

  4. Every day for hours, if not I feel like I missed something. Two channel in the living room and the new setup in the bar in the yard get used everyday. If people are doing something in the house or living room and I can't use that one I go outside and listen. One thing I found is if I depend on CD's or concert DVD's I get bored, internet radio like Pandora or Spotify have more and different music than I could possibly ever have and it even picks what to play next. How many times have you walked up and looked at your CD's and couldn't figure out what you wanted to hear ? For me it was alot, I would much rather put on internet radio and let it go except for an occasional switch because I didn't like a particular song. And the more you do that the more it gives you the style you want to hear, I love it really.

  7. No Tomatoes here, never planted anything yet. It was 33 last night, thought I was going to freeze to death, almost had to light the heater. I don't do anything special to the garden, it doesn't even have dirt, it's a raised bed that was filled with horse poop about 10 years ago, still don't even need to add fertilizer, the bad part was the first couple of years it would burn up everything in it including weeds.

  9. Growing up(30 years ago) my mother did some running of organs as well as blood running. Remembering back now makes me a bit queezy and kind of puts a different light or less light(kinda morbid) on my mom being involved. I remember riding along at times(maybe 8-9yrsold) and everything was normally in coolers just like out of the garage. May make me squeemish now although it is a great thing to be involved in.

  10. Ok here we go gang, just got these two last sat for the wife, and im looking for any/everyone's input on how to bring these critters into the 21st century audio world. here is their condition: Im the second owner since new, these were some of the last Khorns made and they are in perfect condition. Inside the monster wire shows it's wonderfull green stripe of salt air attacking them over the years so these WILL be totally rewired, Crossover ideas and anything else you can think of would be great, I really only want to throw the money at these one time for a few years of listing before the next upgrade.

  11. What's the budget? As you know all kinds of upgrades are possible.

  14. That's the smart thing to do, but I'm usually not organized enough to do it. Even with them going in the raised bed I use to put them in pots early so I could bring them in for cold, this way the could grow a little and I had bigger plants with much bigger roots to plant which helped alot. If anyone likes Eggplant, there is a variety that does really well and produces much more than the normal eggplant. It's called Ichiban, it's a Japanese variety, it has a different shape but the same exact taste and is much easier to grow. It seems I always had some problem with the normal Eggplants, either bugs or something but we started with the Ichiban a few years ago and love it. We usually just peel, dip in egg and good Italian bread crumbs and fry, they love it. http://bonnieplants.com/products/vegetables/eggplant/ichiban-japanese-eggplant

  15. what is up with minermarks klipschorns? patience will definately pay off but one step at a time ?

  16. So a quick side note : Khorns, they are hooked up and sound like chit, wife confirms. Reason(s) 100% fully stock and im the second owner, they appear to look like some of the last built, yes that fresh look. They are really in too small of space, crossover upgrade is planned, spreading them to 18' is planned. Ok, I need some more Coffee/Duggans, im starting to get in that mood, I want to hear those Dam critters!

  18. CHAD! Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. We put him in a closet to program 8 hours a day with no lunch, and it makes him cranky and over imaginative. Details on upcoming product releases coming soon......

  24. Aloha, So I made the step up and sold my Promedia 2.1 system and picked up a pair of vintage KG4s (1985, Serial number 1829 and 1830) and the guy gave me a Sony STR-DE885 AV Receiver. It's 100 watts per channel and at 8 ohms. The thing is, I keep hearing how a 2 channel Amp would be much better. Can anyone recommend one that has optical in, 100 watts per and can do 6 ohm speakers? I'm pretty broke, so I cannot go around spending 500+ for a simple two channel amp. =(

  29. OK, well I would think your wife is not happy about that, not the spot but how you smell, I would just leave the moisture spot dry on it own, but try to see what caused it, bad wind could have blown water where it normally doesn't leak ?

  30. It can do something even better, have it play something slow and have the tanned neighbor do a private dance for you. Better not, we like you posting here and not sure if your heart could take it ? Interesting topic. Iv always wondered if i were the only one. My system lies dormant too so often. I love music and have cds iv never heard yet. i wondered how many of us around here actually listen to our gear lol I honestly have more gear than i know what to do with(im down to what keeps me content even giving some of of my favorite gear to friends) and have music always just a button push away. My wife listens to hers all the time. I guess its just a bunch of great people on this forum and for myself just having my gear ready keeps me content

  31. All my plants are in pots or planters. I lost a couple of seedlings last week due to the cold. Everything got moved into the garage and put under a light for the next couple days.

  32. Also know to the average person as a padded or rubber room, he didn't comment but they also gave him a special "Klipsch" jacket like pictured but with the fingers sticking out to reach the keyboard.

  35. Yikes 41 degrees and windy....break out the long pants. Planted one tomato plant on the patio......a Yellow Pear Heirloom Cherry Tomato. Has yellow fruit. Think I will plant a second plant this weekend....maybe a red cherry tomato. Looking forward to seeing dtels crop! Still finishing up the bag of 8 O'clock and using coconut cream and Stevia. No cable changes so far. The music system lies dormant.....must fire it up soon. Wish it could do something in addition to music......maybe make toast or boil an egg Cheers Gents!

  36. Download the owners manual for that Sony to help you with settings. Since you don't have a Powered Sub, you'll want set your Speakers to LARGE & Subwoofer to NO. I have a similar, but a little older Sony.

  37. LOL, yes I would too. Nothing as exotic as organs, but the co-workers there have told me stories about the old days.

  38. You know of course that the Klipschorn top-hat can be separated from the bass bin. This way you can grab each section under a different arm for easy moving! Yes indeed, I saw those little Wingnut things as the second one was ready to come out of the truck, what did I do then? reached inside and made sure they were tite!

  40. Since Audio Android said he didn't care I will put one more. The stools are more or less one off, I made a bunch, 14 and there heavy duty and swivel, also two tables, and a 24' bench along the pond. I love to building things. After the biggest part is over it will be time for adding plants and a few other things I'm thinking of. I want to put varnish on the two table tops also

  41. I was actually watching Twister on the ol' HT and it triggered the severe weather warnings for the county. No actual natural disaster existed. (real answer: we were huddled in our downstairs closet that houses all of my racked HT gear, water heater, and camping supplies. Morgan(wife) and I were super calm, and as a result so was our 2 yr old. It wasn't quite the "freight train" sound associated with higher rated tornadoes but we definitely could hear the high winds and all of the rain/hail slamming against our sliding glass door that gives access out to the deck.)
