  1. Dang, I better tighten up: http://www.newsmaxhealth.com/Health-News/coffee-diabetes-harvard/2014/04/25/id/567679/?ns_mail_uid=22806961&ns_mail_job=1566593_04272014&promo_code=p2m7223e "defined a cup of coffee as 8 ounces of coffee, black or with a small amount of milk and/or sugar." My cup is big, by those standards I drink 8 cups before looking out the windows. LOL, You must be in good shape to drink that much. Got some serious catching up. Thanks

  5. I use an hp that was $250 at walmart...now for a year and has been flawless.. We also bought the same type, just a $100 more for $350 at walmart and it has too been flawless in a years time.. That said just keep it cheap and with a descent name hp at the moment seems to be best bang for buck... I also have a laptop that cost near $2k(about 5 months ago(January)...i wish i wouldnt had wasted the money...Sure its r7 or whatever lol but in my opinion its stupid lol and it indeed sits in a box...for a back up My $250 HP is great(i did buy warrantys for both and 3 years cost like $100 each...pass on that, just buy a new one if for some reason it blows up lol) EDIT: IF YOUR CLUMSY GET THE WARRANTY! SERIOUSLY....IT DOES COME IN HANDY

  8. I also love te clean cut look for a theater. If you keep the lascalas I'd figure a way to do an AT screen even though the speakers are beautiful I like the look of your theater with the wall in place. It looks very professionally and gives a finished look to you private theater.

  9. For the same reasons you don't see the front speakers in the movie theater. It provides a clean, finished look. I just did not realize that it would impact the sound

  21. I just have to post here lol as said 20 years is the deadline although i have found some last a bit longer...20 yrs without properly checking is a great point in time to replace or update... Once i believe i need new crossovers i get them updated or replaced.. If they are poor sounding you can also go with an active crossover...use an eq to bring life to them or yes replace which is the best in near all applications.. Call Bob Crites or get ahold of Dean! Cheers!

  23. I have been using an 11.5 inch screen Toshiba satellite series 15t after my tablet quit one month out of warranty. It's only slightly larger than the tablet, light enough not to be a nuisance and purchased from the Microsoft online store near the low end of your budget.

  24. 13" is what you want... as the screen size rises from there, the units get much more expensive. besides, 13" is all you really need. I have both a 13 and a 17 and the 17 is just a behemoth and while mobile, I love the 13 much better. there are so many in that range, what other specifics are you looking for? do you need fast start times and schock resistence (SSD, but wont happen at 600$)?, do you need graphic performance? are you playing games? remember, the higher the resolution the better the image but also the smaller the icons in that image (harder to read) Amazon has a GREAT return policy, zero issues with new units.

  28. I knew it( thanks for getting the letters straight for me, i'll get it ). If i were in the market for khorns i would no doubt blast off to get them. They in my opinion and never hearing them to my knowledge are a homerun while the khorn would be an in the park homerun or maybe just a triple. I may like them more than Jubes as matter of fact. Especially for....well...any use lol seriously.. I do love my setup as it is i must say. I must also say those are like a kevlar khorn. I have really taken a liking to the latest 2502c's in pro heresys. I mean how can you get better than klipsch pro period...They are built to last with the same design with greater output and sensitivity to boot. What can get better than that...Nothing...longevity is a thrive of mine. Cheers twistedcrankcammer!

  29. I agree. I have used every brand of avr and must say at one point just made due with a particular yamaha avr about 5 years ago. Anyhow...My setup at the time a bit comparable with your very setup had the same center discretion as you describe. Not to knock yamaha as they do produce some very good gear just not avr's in my opinion. If you do stick with your RX-V3900 i would most of all push up the db's up of the center a considerable amount and lower the value of db's a bit in your mains...This was what i had done before selling the whole setup with that particular yamaha rxv avr i had tested(as well as other yamahas even to this day) some years ago. Clarity may not be there although this adjustment should provide optimum use with your equipment for the time being or forever... I had even used eq's and other equipment to dial in the clarity while using yamaha avr's. I certainly wish you the best and hope it turns out well. On another note...although your 7's look fantastic on the entertainment stand i would truly consider putting them at floor level and put the flower on there...no offense...they do perform and help create the mains stage much more prevalent on the floor at which point they were designed to be used. This could(possibly will) also help establish the front mains/center sound stage clarity as they were designed/intended to be used... Once again the best to you...try to switch to the rf7 in the center as scrappy described then use other advice to advance in your audio experience as you do own some of the finest monitors made. Cheers

  38. I've thought about setting up a screen along the side of my barn, getting a cheap projector and FM transmitter, and hosting small private drive-in movie events for friends and family. The novelty of the drive-in experience is fun and the closest to my house is about 2.5 hours drive.

  39. Matrix is correct. lol, i can't believe some actualy haven't seen the movie yet. the first of the Matrix trilogy is the best, imo. The Matrix made famous with its introduction to the 360 angle shot of Trinity in the opening sequence and the bullet time revolutionized new shooting techniques in the film industry. Created with hi-def sound, RF or Heritage speaker surrounds are just the perfect speakers to drive all the sound effects. If you haven't seen it yet, you're still in the matrix..lol.

  43. I see all of this to be a very, very narrow market. Ask yourself how many people that you know are as passionate about Audio as you are. Then take away the people and friends you have met here or some sort of other audio gathering. I have three friends that I have known since High School (over 2.5 decades ago) that have decent Klipsch speakers and modest Electronics like myself. And yes, their ownership was influenced by my old setups growing up, so this even negates the probability of them looking for better audio having not being influenced by me. Would they consider to swap out a X-over and try a new one on their own...no. Would they consider taking time to update or re-wiring and old speaker searching for that last little bit thats probably not there....no. Do they ever complain about the quality of a 256K download..no. I guess Im the only freak in our small circle. Going further than that, a big portion of the people here balk at a $30 DVDA, Bluray audio or a $20 SACD. Now, everyone knows we can't afford to always buy lossless and the offering is not that great anyway. In time, I hope a lossless download is the norm, and I sure hope it gets here sooner than later. I applaud this push by Young as it will takes steps like this to get us there.
