  1. Apparently you haven't been keeping up with things. We now bow to other heads of state, make idle threats with no action and apologies for our transgressions.

  4. I think iv invested quite enough over the years in their Commie plot to convert a system that has won wars, fk the world, is it not enough to ask them to leave me alone after ending up with yet another full snap-on tool box just so im prepared for whatever comes my way ? In my younger days one of my a buds was under his car, drive shaft work I believe, hey mark pass me an 11MM, I gave him his cresent wrench......

  5. Just curious about Randy Travis' condition and did a search "Randy Travis Update". Prompted by hearing his song "I Told You So" this morning. Anyone want to hear it.....do a search and choose the CMT version. I likes it. Second cup on the patio......wow is it a beautiful, cool, breezy morning.

  8. I've been commissioned to build a subwoofer box for my son's truck. I'm being paid with quality time with my son which is good enough for me. The box is basically finished other than the Duratex finish. It will house a 15" driver. The conceptual box started at 5 cu ft tuned to 35 Hz. As you can see, the box would not fit in his truck so we lopped the top R corner off. I'd guess it's about 4.75 cu ft now but that still should be very close to ideal. He's running 3000 watts with 2 batteries on it.

  10. You can use the gizmo to control certain audio devices, and send content from the internet or your home computer to your audio system. My Klipsch sub can be controlled via remote control. I don't know about anybody else, but I am MUCH more comfortable buying off a Klipsch forumuite than some random stranger off Criag's List!

  14. YYYY-MM-DD for me. The imperial system is absolutely stupid. It's pure ignorance to find American Pride on that system. That said, the historical precedent and cost to change to metric is certainly understandable, but it should be seen as a compromise....not the foundation of some foolish "manly-man" image.

  15. Not difficult at all. Not a lot of heat either. I hate to think that people might be scared to do this. If someone is able to run a screwdriver they will be able to run a nut driver. Just heat the nut with a soldering gun or pen, unscrew the nut and pull the wires off. A little desoldering rope will easily remove the left over solder. Maybe a 2 on a difficulty scale of 1 to 10.

  17. I drove to albany a couple times to pick up audio related items, I remember 1 purchase was a pair of Talon Khorus on the 2nd floor with stairs that were barely 30 inches wide with a u turn in the middle fun times indeed, when I arrived I was very close to leaving without the speakers the guys directions were horrible and the location was less than savory to say the least and here I was with 2000.00 in my pocket meeting someone I did not know I wish my issues were solved I would happily travel to pick up these, good deal IMHO

Today, the wife has taken a couple of days off, Reno run, just for the day, she can play, wile I go fetch new tires for her car. And to anser the 401 question, no iv not spent it all---Yet---, it seems the only problem I have currently is, I missed my figurin by a couple of grand after paying off all the bills, (thought id have a little pocket change left), so I will start the process of getting just a tad more this week.......

  34. Before i buy anymore speakers I would like to do just that build an anechoic chamber. Ya know...I really appreciate all the knowledge of this forum and would indeed like to build my own speakers. Its a pipedream although for the best results you must indeed use an anechoic chamber. It would be nice to get a gang together to buy this stuff to build the chamber and send the parts/pieces around to each to test certain design/s. For klipsch to even share the fact they use a chamber such as what they have is astonishing as well as the fact it is used and provides the best results possible. Guaranteed other manufacturers have chambers they do not share the facts of having one for their use. That is a very good price though....wholesale...there is or was a guy near Indianapolis who had access to this material in excess and for a great amount of cu. ft. his prices were $100 and some less for multiple types and variations in amount...A lot for the money...I never have contacted him and still wonder if he is around...he at one point in time and still may have his treatment for sale on clist...amazing prices for boxes and boxes... I also seen a guy not far from me on clist with actual egg holders the fiber type for free....A good 400sq ft full or more stacked from floor to ceiling a month or so ago...not sure how well it would perform although it seemed ugly and I have no room for such an amount at tis time nor a room to make such a chamber. It is a goal of mine to have a chamber very siple in design although very useful and accurate. 1 thing at a time I guess for now lol

  36. Nope, nothing street legal stock will. Roger Have you tried? Guessing you can get standard transmission nowadays but...alright then. Have you seen my avatar?? That is MY all aluminum 427 SOHC FORD. I am Ford as they come and there is nothing on the lot I haven't driven Ford. Roger Yes I did see avatar. Heck of a block on that 427. Coming from a GM guy, that is praise. As said earlier, I am probably wrong but, the fun is in trying to lift even 1 inch. My brother had a stock 265 then 283 55 stocker that he used to blow the doors of of 441,426,427's and 289 in the 60's so, without getting into a GM versus Ford thing. The driver is what counts. That said, yes, it is hard to defy physic and gravity. Some would say impossible. Thanks for your feedback.

  37. Perfect time to introduce him/audition your Klipsch for him, then the Trap is set for the Borg to drag him into this collective...... LOL, Yes he has been over before just to listen to music. Right now the 5.5's but he has heard KG 4's and RF-3's here also. Next time he comes, I will introduce him to Chorus. Offered him a set a couple of years ago...resistance is futile.

  45. I have to check that out. My Parliament collection is farely vast and rare although sound quality in even the finest recordings from funkadelic, pfunk all stars etc... i own is a bit poor. I was hooked with George&Mr Collins plus gang at the beginning mostly when cruising in my car at a young age. Man i love the negative banter im getting from such a question towards me. Let alone the dirty look! I cannot appreciate it more. sincerely! The last time I went to the "classic stereo" my wife went in with a friend of mine who was visiting from out of state and spending money as would i if it were truly "Stereo" let alone the "classic" part. I stood outside simply refusing to even look inside due to a false leading by the name of store as well as the lack of regard to the name. 2ch is so good for music and i am so happy i found klipsch to lead me to this forum to provide me with the vitals in sound.
