Did not know you had native(?) magnolia plant/trees in Nebraska of all places. Amazing! We have a tree here and she says it has to be around 15 foot or so to start blooming. Must be a hybrid plant? Sorry for the 3rd degree. I don't know if it's native to Nebraska or not. I have seen quite a few around, and they sell many at the nurseries. I all so read it takes them 10-15 years to start flowering, maybe that's how long it all so takes them to grow 10-15 feet. I know the first year we planted it, it bloomed flowers the following year. We will have to wait and see.3 points

That is forum member trugasa's set-up . I had the pleasure of auditioning that system a few years ago . At the time Danley was offering a special on the DTS10 kits which I was interested in . Tony offered a demo and even offered to build them for me , 2 , for some pizza and labor on my part . Outstanding guy to say the least ! Anyway I found his set-up to be a game changer . Tony's room is 18 x 33 and his AT screen is 14' diagonal , 168" . Did not even notice his surrounds which were Heresys and some reference dipoles , the front 3 and subs overwhelmed them . The bass from the 2 Danleys ; I loved it , but it might be hazardous to some folks health . Seemed to move you're internals around if ya no what I mean ! Decided against the Danleys on the way home from the demo . They would wreck my room and considering that I rent there's only so much I could do to accommodate them as they will damage an unprepared room and the rooms around it . Anyway , the moral of this post is to build an AT screen the width of the room . With the front 3 LaScalas behind it you will be floored !3 points

I was told the magnolia was a bush as well, and needed to be trimmed into a tree. I will take a look at the olive tree, as I need something to cover the smell of the dogs bi products. That way the wife doesn't have a reason not to go out there and clean it up.2 points

There not anything special to look at but like you said there well worth it. There kind of strange you never know when it's going to bloom and the flowers are small, you usually smell it before you see the flowers. It's a little different than the gardenias the tea olive smell really sticks around the area more, you definitely don't have to walk up to it to smell it like most flowers.2 points

That is what I will call the neighbor.....Coffee Pot Patina I almost dropped the carafe when I heard her knock some ten feet away. And why would she not make eye contact anyway? Its Friday....which is a lot like Thursday or Tuesday here in retirement land. No big plans. Do need to make a coffee run today. Lady friend commented that there was never anything in my refrigerator but peanuts, pickles, and beer Cheers Gents2 points

Have discovered a great new brand of coffee - "8 O'clock Duggan's." Great taste and a subtle calming effect...ahhhh, time for a nap.2 points

Morning folks, I woke up to my house a little cooler then what I had the ac set to. Turns out if is fairly cooler at side, which I don't think has been good for my magnolia plant. I havent seen this thing bloom in 2 years. I was hoping this year, but now it even is taking a while to get some green leaves, turns out the morning sun can trick it to bloom, but then colder weather damages the blooms. I am sure it will turn out, just need to be patient.2 points

OK I just have to ask, did you catch the neighbor looking your way ? This lady friend sounds better and better every day. Not that neighbor since I was on the patio at the rear of the house. Last winter my other neighbor (in her 60s) knocked on the door one morning while I was making coffee.....in the nude. French doors....like in all glass Its hard being me Okay enough about me....what do you guys have planned for the day? Cheers Gents At least you weren't frying bacon. Did you at least invite her in for coffee?2 points

To be honest, I'm very content with what I have. Other than wakejunkie, I don't know anyone personally that is local that has a setup like mine. Willland has a very similar setup, just not the dedicated HT and projection screen. So it's not like I'm trying to have a better setup than my core friends. If I didn't have a HT, I would be content. Maybe it's just the excitement of changing it up a bit and in the process, receiving some significant upgrades. If the 3 LaScalas blow me away and offer even more clarity and dynamics than the RF-83 / RC-64, then to me, it would be worth redesigning my front wall. If they sound similar, (which from my initial testing the LaScalas are definitely clearer and offer more detail), then I have no desire to increase my screen size for a lateral move in sound.2 points

That guy has relisted those many times. If he were on this side of the country, I would be very very tempted to take them off his hands. I've really gotta sell some stuff before I buy more though. As my parents used to say "I have a bad case of the wants".2 points

You need to give those a try and let me know what you think, however I will warn you if you set up your system you never get your room done as you will spend too much sitting around listening to music like me. At those prices I may purchase one my self and give it a try.1 point

You should call [001] 1-800-KLIPSCH during business hours. They should be able to tell you how to get the horn apart and also sell you two new diaphragm/voice coil kits. WMcD1 point

And I bet Wake could knock all of that out in a few hours. I just emailed Seymour to get a price on a 150" screen. This was the quote I received for the 130" diagonal 130'' Diagonal -- 2.35:1 Ratio Image Size: 119.6'' x 50.9'''' Piece Size: 125.6'' x 56.9''- 138 $263.40 Precision Cut 20 degrees $45.00 Shipping $35.00 Total $343.40 So it will be under $400. I'm guessing I can sell my 103" screen for $250 - $300 on CL.1 point

Had to look it up, it's the same plant, I didn't know it by that name. You rarely ever see it but I know where there is one with a single trunk about 100' tall. We were working in someone's yard and could smell it but couldn't find it. We never thought to look, up but was very surprised when we had found it, I had no idea it could get that big. We have one in the normal bush shape right in front the house about 15' tall and the smell can get very strong.1 point

Y E S Do it just how you want, I never understood why people redo everything just for small changes then do it again months later. In 6 months your going to wish you went big, do it how you want the first time and remove the "I wish I would have". Even if it takes a little longer it's worth it.1 point

Second time waking up today. I really should get the second Khorn gutted and rewired, did one last week, and figured what the h-ll is the hurry no crossovers yet, however the Crites are do in today, sooo, I better fire up a pot of Decalf, crank some tunes and get down to it. Ya know it's one thing to look at that Green Monster wire it's another thing to cut it out, it is also slimy, EeeeK!1 point

I don't know the history of the Heresys well enough to know whether these are some sort of a knock off/fraud or if they are really a rare version. Perhaps someone here knows? http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/ele/4455639479.html Steve1 point

Yes of course. I am too onboard. This situation absolutely enrages me...it rips my heart to pieces in frustration that there seems to be nothing we can do. I feel this happens in this region more than we can ever fathom....I pray any and all donations draw a clean slate for the girls and women who have been abducted...This is senseless more of a disaster than that of flight 370. I pray this can end. Prayers for those families involved let alone these wonderful young women and girls. If donations cannot be made please pray! Pray to the higher power to bring these women and girls home... This is so terrible..I cannot even stand to imagine what they are going through...Please! God lend the help to let them back to where they belong!1 point

Thanks. I've researched those options, but the cabinet will not fit those horns. These are the Aztec Gauguins speakers I'm updating to be similar to a big heresy. I love the cabinets and grill.1 point

Yes RG, the 8" driver is missing, not the radiator. Thank you I don't think the seller even knew the front grill was removable. It is a beautiful little oak sub otherwise... Once up and running, it is going to fit in nicely. Just hope the amp is OK (my luck , LOL) I don't know if I agree about your luck; 1. Sub was not as expected. However "the seller and I have come to agreement and case is closed. The seller really knew nothing of audio equipment and "lesson learned". She was very responsive and positive." 2. billybob to the rescue in less than an hour of your post. Sounds like MIGHTY FINE Luck to me1 point

I'm just still trying to convince myself it will be worth the effort of redoing the entire front wall and switching from RF-83 / RC-64 to 3 LaScalas behind an AT Screen.1 point

Well we are going to rent a pressure washer from same ol place and do the place and sides of deck before they are painted. Half shade in a wet, moldy environment is dictating this for the looks. Maybe a bit of painting if it dries today. Hot here already. Drinking a cup of hazelnut flavored. Morning1 point

I've owned both and no doubt, the KLF30 have much more slam than the Chorus II. If you are looking for a speaker you can just absolutely crank...KLF30 will definitely provide that and then some. Welcome to the forums1 point

I would wonder about you as well man iv had to have been looked at as a speaker nut of sorts...I remember my 1 neighbor i had. I had just carried 4 kinda large pairs of floor standers into my house and it was that way all the time lol at least pairs but man i never felt as guilty about it than the moment i was carrying speakers through the door lol thats when it would hit me...Now where do i put these lol Now with klipsch stuff.... basically only klipsch in my house its easier but i still feel weird carrying anything radio wise into the house like everybodys watching me lol I actually get to feeling nervous playing my radio lol owe well f'em1 point

Maybe I am way off here, but since no one has brought it up yet, and I do not know enough about audessy, I will mention it. I play electric bass guitar, and found out a few odd things about standing waves. Standing waves are not just from the "target frequency", but can be created in multiples of the root as well. We had an issue in the studio a while back where my bass cabinet was creating waves that were effecting the guitars sound, when I moved the bass cabinet a little changing the angle of reflections, the problem was resolved. I repeat to be clear. My bass gear sounded fine, the guitars sounded fine, but a note I had played ruined the tone of the Les Paul but only when I played that note. I can only assume this was a result of phase cancilation from the guitars caused by a harmonic of the root tone I had played on the bass. I admit that accoustical physics in not my field.1 point

crossover updates for the kg5.5's(they are way past due) if he hasnt yet then another sub or better yet get some diy 18's! EDIT: I see now op has 4 powered subs..should be good... I also believe the 7007 has more than sufficient power for near any home theater... I am firmly on the facts you are loosing the dynamics from your kg 5.5's thus updated crossovers will bring back the sound with no blank spots which i feel you may be actually finding with the low frequency boom in your woofers in the kg 5.5's not responding due to aged crossovers.....1 point
