Mornin Gang In the recovery mode from two day party. There is just nothing like partying on a farm, flyin the new duster in the morning, drinkin for lunch, shooting in the afternoon, band shows up @5pm and does not shut down till 3am. dam. I knew id be spending the night, did not matter to me where I crashed, just did not figure on waking up in the field.4 points

Great stories, but to be honest doing things like that now would almost kill me, it would take me days to recover or a week. Being older has taught me to pace myself, whenever possible which is most of the time, with only the rare why did I do that feeling.3 points

Reminds me of a time I was heading to St. Louis for a Metallica concert. We took a pit stop in some small town in KC for a bday party. Needless to say I woke up next to a car with my shirt off and pants down,(which wasn't the last time this happened, but thats a whole other story). Turns out I passed out in field, my buddies got me back to the car where I had thrown up all over myself. They removed my shirt, and unbuttoned my pants so if I was to try and wonder off in the middle of the night. My pants would fall down and I would trip over them keeping me from wondering off. Thats exactly what happened. I got out of the car at some point, my pants fell, I tripped and it was lights out. Man I had a head ache in the morning.3 points

You are a wild and crazy guy Mark but party on Early bands of wind and rain as Author heads this way. May be a category 1 but not worrying about it. Been through many including Hazel when I was very young. Living here in hurricane alley you get use to it. Yard clean up and loss of power (AC) is a real pain. A large pine falling totaled the Jeep Wagoneer years ago. Cheers Gents3 points

Amy now lists herself as "Forum Queen Emeritus." Amy will always be the Queen, and despite claiming she is in "exile" will always be welcome and honored on this Forum. Good Luck Amy.2 points

yeah that's for sure. I know it's a tractrix. I've made some rectangular and spherical tractrix horns already but never did about elliptical. I'll take a look. thanks, for sure I can but I thought why not to have what many other Klipschophiles have! it's a matter of less important to me. I'm working on it. maybe it turns out something more sinister than before. I do agree. if you nice American people can comprehend that there is millions light year distance between Iranian people and Iran's totalitarian regime, it would be great and makes me feel far better than listening to an ultimate horn speaker! you'll be amazed if I tell that I know a lot more about US history than Iran's past 37 years diabolical history! I still feel pain and drop tears when I watch 9/11 videos on youtube, I can feel American dream I hope Geneva negotiations will work something out and outside world won't look down at us anymore as if we are in pursuit of nuclear weapon.2 points

Your story reminds me of my navy days. for the last 23 years iv lived in Norcal, I ONLY Party heavy on the farm(s), and plan a two day-er every time. Works out great, between all the farm folk around, and the farm workers, and their kids, the only trouble you really get into is when they set you up, like waking up in a grain silo with there pet Pig they had drugged, so I wake up, look around, WTF? ok, i know where im at, wonder what is up with the pig? So I climb out head for the farm house and everyone that see's me is looking at me really strange. Getting in house, I hear someone say, hey there's mark now, hey mark, last we saw you, you were wandering off with Arnold. oh chit. Then it came to me, the last thing I remember was playing cards and doing shots in the tool house right next to the silos. I still hear the pig joke now and again, even at 15 years out........and no nothing happened with Arnold.2 points

Last day for you Amy! Hope the people at work are taking you out to lunch today; I would. You are a very classy person and we'll all miss you around here... unless you register as a regular user and come back to say Hi on occasion? That would be cool; that way we wouldn't worry about how you're doing. ;-) So on to bigger and better things! Best of luck to you!!2 points

Next time we have a Hurricane bearing down on us, we are heading north, or west, or north by northwest... Power goes off, so no Weather Channel, or AC.2 points

Arash... one day all of this will change. You've already built some way cool equipment. I would think you could figure this out, as it is mostly a tractrix flare. Bruce2 points

It should be the first one. The plant is very small now.2 points

that would be called a sleeper. I am all for the finest components you can afford no one was ever sorry that they bought the best. But unless you are drinking the kool-aid you can't tell me that the best components don't deserve the respect that a fine finish affords them. Tell me that you would rather look at your old beaters rather than these nice re veneered Cornwall's. I will believe you if you do I just want to make sure that you really mean it. All the best which ever way you go it's all good. Best regards Moray James.2 points

I am wondering if Klipsch, or the family, has every thought about putting out a coffee table book, not about coffee tables, but about the history (in pictures) of Klipsch and PWK?1 point

The wife needed a new phone, we choose Samsung Galaxy 4s Verizon, New. I won an ebay auction for a new one for $325 + 10 shipping, which is about the average selling price for these phones on Ebay, with a low of $300, upwards to $450. The language the seller used to describe the phone is ambiguous. The condition is listed as "New" but it is then described as It seems to me the condition should be "New", not "Excellent." I contacted the Seller via Ebay email to answer this series of questions: The item was listed as "New." It's condition was described as "excellent" and I would have expected it to say "new" or "unused." Can you confirm please that this is a NEW phone, with full warranty, and that it has never been activated? The seller sent me this upside-down picture and a non-responsive answer: Am I being too skeptical? Is this a new phone or not? Frankly, if it had been opened or if there was a story I would probably take the phone anyway, but I am now wary because of the evasiveness of the answers. I'd like to hear your opinions, advice.1 point

So I acquired a pair of 1983 Cornwall I cabinets (empty) CBR, a few weeks ago, and have been slowly but surely acquiring parts, starting the wiring process, and investigating my refinishing options, which included getting them veneered. Had two estimates for the veneer, nothing exotic, of $500 and $450 for the pair. Have given thought to sanding them down, stain, Watco, other oils...etc, etc....... But then, an epiphany.....Why not (sort of) (cosmetically at least) LEAVE THEM ALONE???! Holy smokes, who woulda thought? Do I really like that almost golden brown toast colored cabinet...Yes. Do I think that the cigarette burns on the tops of both have some stories to tell....Yes. Do I really mind if they look kind of beat, have been through a lot, but still will play hard.....No. And especially since practically no one but me will see them....Will they become my favorites that I will take care of, and cherish, even though they are a little rough around the edges....No doubt. So what the heck, I'll do my thing on the inside, make them sound great, and know that I resisted a primal urge to refinish on the outside, and left the beautiful patina alone, when it's the inner soul that really counts....1 point

Today I took a road trip to Ryans (Reference_head) to pick up my RF7II's. First off Ryan has an amazing pro cinema and the 904's put a big grin on my face and left me kinda startled at first with their effortless sound. Clarity, detail, imaging, dynamics, yep those 904's just simply rock. His three big SVS subs were also bone crushing. Truly an amazing experience to listen to such a beast of a home theater. 3D on his screen was also a new experience and was also awesome. I can say 3D on a screen like that is just intense. After that I have a different view on 3D. I felt like a kid in a candy store and that's no bull$#!T. After some demos Ryan showed me the 7II's before we boxed them up. I knew how big they were. I took measurements ofc beforehand but after first seeing them the first thing I thought was my wife is gonna shoot me when I get them in the house. They looked HUGE! Hee hee! Well here they are and guess what. My wife helped me unbox them and move a few things around to accommodate the big boys. First impression was holy shet. Again effortless and so clean and detailed. They don't drown out my SB13 Ultra either. If anything they enhance the overall bass bigtime. I am truly amazed with the 7II's. I think I can stop looking for speakers now. I've reached the finish line. Again thank you Ryan. I think you helped me check another item off my bucket list.1 point

First, an absolutely pristine Marantz 3250B pre-amp...won't tell you how much, cause it'll make you sick with envy.... Secondly, this very cool Electrovoice Aristocrat single. Didn't have a lot of time to check it out, but it works, and is all original, including the finish. Has a few bumps and bruises, but hey, it's cool. Waiting on a price from the guy. will post more pics and details later if I acquire it.... Electric candle on top not included.....1 point

First thing I look at when I view an item for sale is the sellers feedback. If it's not good...I move along. I don't even bother looking at the item.1 point

Arash, we Americans are very sensitive to the fact that your country treats violations of the law very seriously, and sometimes with deadly consequences. You are getting PROFESSIONAL advice from your friends on this board, who are doing nothing except looking out for your best interests. My advice is learn who to trust, and do not take take the advice lightly.1 point

Boxx: "I hope that Amy will join in on occasion and post some of her photo's...." I sure hope so also Boxx, strange in the past I was sometimes worried when I would say some things that I shouldn't, and was wondering if I would hear from her, now I look forward to hearing from her. I already miss her.... sounds like a few forum members that i know. Hey just because I go in the yard sometimes doesn't mean I'm not trained.1 point

I don't know any more than the names, you would have to check them out. I have grown them from seeds before, usually during winter I break off the peppers and leave them in the pots throwing away the dried sticks and leaves. Breaking up the peppers in the spring and mixing them in the dirt I usuialy end up with more than I could use. This is new plants this year so they are true to the names. #1 is Chilly chili #2 is Calico #3 is Basket of Fire #4 is Black Pearl........we think, it did not have a label when we got it but looks like the description if the leaves get darker ? #5 is Super Chili Anyone want seeds ?1 point

What I have found is that SACD's and DVD-A's cut from the original master tapes are the best I'd laid my ears on. I have side by side compared Vinyl, CD, and SACD of the same record, and can say that there is a huge difference with the SACD as compared to the other two. Oh, and here is the "How It's Made" episode for the Vinyl records:1 point
