When we walked in The BOSS looked around and said "oh we should have brought more money" The guy was looking at me..... and I was like yea she's a good wife lol lol... She walked over and was looking at this nice old Mcintosh 75... she said I like this one.... I said "were here to get things fixed and not buying stuff" ..... I can't believe I said that... I'm on a mission to get things fixed and upgraded... also spoke to him about my Carver TFM-55 he said he has no problem working on Carver's... Well that's about it....not much else going on...... Yup.... I see the BOSS just posted.... and yea she's right.... were a one night stand that never ended ...... I you BOSS..... Wishing all a great day.... MKP :-)

  2. Happy Valentine's Day! It's a beautiful sunny day with a predicted high of 20F in Southeast MI. The wife is preparing waffles for breakfast. I've ordered and paid for (including tip) heart shaped Jet's pizzas to be delivered at 5pm. By that time, we hope to be enjoying a Spartan victory over the Hoosiers. Before she begins to think about dinner, she'll answer the doorbell and dinner will be served.

  3. Just burnt my tongue and upper lip on hot coffee. I have tried other things with dr. pepper and it was good. I will have to try that one. Before we went the reception, we were told that there wouldn't be any booze . So we came home right after the wedding and had a couple of cocktails before we headed to the reception. Then we found out that it was just a cash bar.

  4. Made it back....long day. This morning was a nightmare. Huge bands of heavy snow and crazy azz semi truck drivers conspired to make visibility minimal. Normal 2 hour drive took 3.5....But...did get the fromage and caffeine....so overall a successful trip.

  8. Valentines day is very special to us. On this day in 1995 my only brother died at the age of 38. He was a sweetheart and prankster! Also on this day in 2010, my only grandson was born. Took most of the sting out of the day. Already we see so much of my brother in him! Life is incredible... As for the "lovers" part of it... You have noooo idea! We started as a one night stand that never ended... Happy valentines day to every beating klipsch heart!

  9. Of course it wasn't just the cheese and coffee. I drive up to GR fairly regularly just to see my two friends that I've known for 45 years… Don't know many people that have had friends for that long and, it's an amazing thing. As well as, of course, there are numerous, numerous brewpubs in Grand Rapids that are just absolutely superb. I took three growlers from my son-in-law and have them filled at hop cat brewery in downtown GR. A rather amazing tap list.

  11. You have a great mother in law! If you want to try something different - we like regular makers mixed with Dr Pepper - it was an accidental discovery for us but it's a great combination, in our opinion.

  12. We are sitting at 11 degrees. The only thing that would make the wedding seem interesting. Would be for me to booze it up. However i don't think this is that type of wedding. Plus i dont know much of anyone. Maybe a flask with Makers Mark is in order. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

  13. Brand recognition may be to blame. Klipsch's team colors seem to be black and copper. There is nothing wrong with that, but maybe there is a way they can use alloys or even polymers which are less likely to retain dings. How about they make the enclosures out of copper and the cones out of carbon fiber.

  15. Milk is a gateway drug. Kids start on it and then ..........Truly one of the biggest lies ever repeated (gateway drug) A single glass of milk can contain a mixture of as many as 20 painkillers, antibiotics and growth hormones. Using a highly sensitive test, scientists found the chemicals in samples of cow, goat and human breast milk.

  16. I no longer offer full crossover kits. When I did sell those, I got most of them back to complete. Some never started on them and just sent the kit back to be assembled. That was not too bad. Some sent the kits back partly assembled, not so good. Some sent the completed kits back to be figured out because they did not work. Those either had some solder joints that were not conducting or just plain wired incorrectly. Offering full crossover kits was a mistake. I have had much better luck selling just cap kits. Probably 95 percent get those done and working. On the full kits, I would guess less than 10 percent got the kit completed and working. Bob Crites

  18. "Gateway" drug thing is total crap. If so, then we'd have about 80 million crack and heroin addicts. When the government forces you to deal with criminals and be one to do something that is a basic human right, some are going to wind up trying other things the criminals have to offer. Rather doubt one is going to find crack in a Colorado dispensary. Dave

  19. I can verify that, as they were dipping it at a monastery about 200 yards from the house I rented in Udorn Thani. It was opium laced sugar water that sealed the weed to keep it fresh. Smoked it every day, mostly all day. I had severe withdrawal...but only because it was SO marvelous and about 5 US for a brick of 40 or so sticks that lasted for a month or more with 3 guys sucking it down every day and that was pretty hard to come home to the land of the felony for having a good time. It was delivered by our landlords son, a Thai army Vietnam vet, who'd come over every couple of weeks with a pickup load of friends and a big bag of bricks. He have us a marvelous hand made bamboo bong with a carved teak bowel. Wonderful people, wonderful times for it being a war. The streets of Udorn had a number of elderly who'd sit on the street during the day sucking on massive joints, a good 2 inches in diameter in the middle and rolled in what looked like funny papers. Funny, indeed! They seemed VERY happy and would smile massively when you wished them "Sawatdee, Khap!" as you passed. A way of life, and that city was a happy place with the only violence coming from attacks by the VC on our base perimeter from time to time. Rather doubt they were smoking Thai stick... The Thai people remain my ideal for civilized society that has maintained real perspective on what is good and what is bad. Government isn't perfect, but no government ever is. But the people are about the finest you'll meet anywhere and they exceed by far even the legendary "southern hospitality" of this country. Dave

  20. It just became clear to me that most people here don't consider themselves to be adults. Or, certainly not free adults. After years of being wards of the nanny state, some of you obviously cannot even conceive of having the liberty to decide what's best for yourselves. You are actually repulsed by the idea of liberty! All things must be decided for you by the State. It seems positively outrageous and insane to you that a person might want the liberty to decide if a chemical is right for them. It astonishes you! I think the youngers here have probably never in their life tasted liberty. Sent from my SM-T330NU using Tapatalk

  22. Congrats on the Outlaw, I had the 990 and loved it. Its one of the best sounding prepros I ever heard under $3k. I'll agree with Bill. If you just dont use hdmi your setup idea is fine. I did mine that way until hdmi was available on prepros. I also never saw the need to hook up analog cables from everything to avr then out to tv. I have a projector in my theater so its a have to case almost to use hdmi avr as a hub. In other rooms I plug in chromecast (music/movies/tune in), bluray, game machine, sat, tablets etc.....so the radio makes a good hub. For regular news etc...no avr even turned on, just tv and my sound bars. If that 990 is still at specs you should be impressed, enjoy.

  26. We were thinking of putting one of those in, I never realized there are so many different types. Haha…it sounds like the wedding isn't high on your list, you just kind of slid it in there If I ever felt like drinking something warm like coffee, today would be the day, the windchill is -15! I do have to go to work for a while, to prepare for Monday, so I'll be outside. I'm usually off in the winter, but the odd weather has me very busy. It was 55 one day last week, then cold again, I'm ready for spring. Have a great day everybody. Neither sounds like fun, temperatures here dropped from yesterday, high today 59, 63 tomorrow, rain Monday, probably build a fire tonight it will be 32.

  27. Is it about inebriation? You say. But then you'd have to ask why doctors prescribe psychoactive drugs to many millions of people, wouldn't you? Is it about recreation? You say. But then you'd have to explain why Shaman through the ages have found the deepest wisdom by using psychoactive and psychedelic chemicals, wouldn't you? I asked earlier what principles you were trying to invoke to support your argument. You seemed to not even understand the question. My principle, is the principle of natural human liberty. It is a well understood philosophy, and it is completely credible. I still can't see what yours is? Is it simply your will to "dictate" over others? Is it "democracy" wherein you think the majority should rule, and that the majority is against drug use? Is it "socialism" wherein you think the public has vowed to be each other's keepers in all matters of health? At this point, the only conclusion I draw is that you assume to dictate by your will what is right and what is wrong for the rest of society. If that's your principle, you'll have to face the "dictates" of 310M other dictators.

  29. Draconian drug policy is prolonging potential cures for PTSD. MDMA is currently Schedule I. Meaning, no useful medicinal purposes. And yet, it has been shown to be the most useful drug we have for treating PTSD. Treatment with as few as two doses has been an effective cure. Millions of people have stress related symptoms similar to PTSD. I have no doubt most of them would benefit from Ecstasy. And if it was legal, these people would be leading better lives. 34. really glad your enjoying your system....and in the nut shell that's what's all about...... My wife and I are really lucky..... 1st my wife loves all of my gear(ok it's her's) she was the one that found our LaScala's some 25 years ago.... we really enjoy our music.. But we are lucky that we get to listen to Klipsch most of the day. We own a auto shop and we jam out quite a bit. It's just me and her. We have a set of KP-362's and drive them with a Carver TFM-42...... and there's a few subs in the shop.... The TFM-42 is the same amp you have fluidcool but it has LED lights instead of the meter's... still rated the same 375 watts. Now we don't start the day by pumping out 300+ watts into the KP's.... we'll start with some good music to get the day rolling.... maybe just a few watts......but as the day goes on we just start feeding more power to those KP's.... cuz were getting into it..... it just sounds sooooo good.....I like feeling the music.....it makes the day just roll by..... in the summer time the bay doors will be open.... the music will be pumping out of the shop.... the guys next to my shop with the used car lot might be washing a car.... and I'll see there heads bumping to the music.... yea, I tell ya man it's great....It's like a seen out of a movie some days..... and when were jamming like that the Carver is doing it's job....puttin da watts to those KP's.... What I'm trying to say is.....it's not just about how "loud" it is.... It's how ya feel when your playing those tunes....and to me, turning that volume knob alittle more and more to the right during the day gets me feeling the music.... and again my man.... that system you just got.... you'll be "feeling" the music.... Ya feel me MKP :-)

  35. I disagree that it is a gateway drug...how do you know that in these 2 instances that they would not have moved to stronger drugs without ever using MJ? Some people are drinkers and have moved to Cocaine...does that mean Alcohol is a gateway drug too? Personally I think that the ones that move to stronger drugs were looking for stronger drugs all along, and it didn't make a difference whether they were drinking beer or a soda...they were going to get stronger drugs.

  36. No harder than speaking to someone impossibly mired in insisting on a single state of mind. Diversity is good, in people and in states of mind. I've often stated that pot is sort of like changing one's POV by about 30 degrees of angle and elevation. You look at the same things but with a different POV. When it wears off, you still have the advantage of that POV. Alcohol doesn't do this, nor does anything I am aware of except meditation and few are going to spend the time and effort to learn that art. And that art doesn't carry the medicinal and healing powers of demon weed. Doesn't make anywhere near as good paper, cloth, or rope either. Dave

  46. With out seeing a photo, it seems like a very easy fix/modification, to me? Just get an angle grinder with a few cut off wheels in hand (wafer type). With the angle grinder, cut the welded seams of the old jack and discard. Install a grinding wheel to smooth out all the rough edges and what-not. Prime and paint to protect. Install the new "bolt on" tongue jack. DONE ???

  47. i find this interesting...very interesting actually. I too have Asthma and have wondered how my lungs would handle vaping. glad to know that (it sounds) like that is much easier on the lungs. I was given a inhaler a few years ago due to my Asthma, and I have not used it since vaping. As a matter of fact I saw my Dr. yesterday and he was shocked when I said I use MJ with Asthma...he looked at my xrays, did some tests to check my lungs, and said they were clear. He also told me the only thing he has a problem with is irritating the lungs with Carcinogens. I have actually felt my lungs expand since starting treatment of MJ. I'd prescribe a brownie, or if your twisted and don't mind a TWIST....A suppository...LOL

  48. MJ has extremely detrimental effects on young people, and it creates a life sentence for the kids who have the nerual pathways in their brains rewired. It should be banned and stay banned. I have worked with young people who have been jailed for drug use and who are in residential treatment facilities. It is a HUGE problem and it affects other parts of their lives as well, too much to get into here. Anyone who smokes pot and wants to continue to do so will not be persuaded by my opinion. If you saw the young lives ruined by MJ and worked with kids everyday, you might change your mind. +++ In before the lock.
