  2. The Bunn has landed, thanks to USPS. First cups on the way. First effort was LaVAzza Classico Medium Roast. First cups are a tad weak. We'll get the hang of it. The wife's a little creeped out by the knowledge that heated water is constantly in the reservoir only to be pushed out by the newly added cold water. She feels like she's drinking from a Petri dish, and I'm not referring to the kind used by Rob & Laura.

  3. Still waiting for Amazon to deliver the new Bunn A10. If it doesn't get here before 4pm, Nancy will insist upon the break-in brew being decaf. To me, that would be sacrilegious and probably against the law. She claims that caffeine consumption after 4pm induces insomnia. She's so serious, she won't even consume coffee Heath ice cream after 4pm, which leaves more for me.

  4. I finally got around to completing my project. I decided to implement a 70v system due to wire runs and simplicity of setup. I did have to buy external step down transformers but that's OK. I have 6 emotiva uom 6.2's connected to an outlaw audio monoblock 200 w RMS @ 8 ohm and an OSD 70v transformer. I plan to build some block enclosures around the speakers for a more finished look and to provide some relief from the elements. I thinking about doing a mesh screen front too but will have to see. I did some pipe trenching albeit just below the surface. The project took me about 4 days of work to get it done and so far it's been worth it. Its all connected to zone 2 on my UMC-1 and thus able to work with my sonos!

  6. Looks like everyone was having some good times this weekend. I went down and finished installed the new rubber roof on my camper. I have to be honest, I didn't do the hole roof, and now I am wishing I had. However its alot of dam work. if the camper was here at home, I would have done a complete tear down. Its good for what we use it for, the camper sits at a camp spot all year round, so not much to worry about. After this cup of coffee, I get to go teach our niece how to drive. Not only is she learning how to driver, she is learning how to drive a stick shift. But hey she is willing to learn, so that is a positive start. I told her she needs to save some money to pay for a clutch. That way if she burns it up, she can get it fixed right away. Luckily its her car, kind of put the horse before the cart. But she didn't have anyone that would let her use their car to learn to drive. Got to run, take care everyone. Peace.

  8. It's a rainy Saturday afternoon in Southeast MI, so I thought I'd amuse myself at your expense and bore you with our recent adventures at a business convention in Nashville. The theme of the convention was "Empowered." It was announced that there would be a superhero themed costume party. To prepare for that, I hit a ubiquitous Halloween store (in a closed Blockbuster) days after Halloween to get three cheap costumes. I bought the green masks and fedoras for next to nothing, as a token gesture to the costume party. Separately, Nancy, the short one, purchased three cardboard "M"s at Michael's, with a plan to play off the "Empowered" theme. Once I saw those, the wheels started turning. The Internet offered cheap green 12v LED strips, which were happy to get by on 9v. A little cutting, soldering, green fluorescent paint, a trip to Radio Shack (next year to be a Halloween store) and some Dollar Store 9v batteries and we were in business. We were M-powered Man, M-Powered Woman and M-Powered Lad. There were some excellent costumes, but, in a field cluttered with Captains America, Wonder Women, Supermen, Supergirls/women, etc. the powered Ms won best overall. Unfortunately, there was no money involved, only the satisfaction of victory.

  9. Good Saturday afternoon everyone............just checking in, looks like lots of caring and prayers going around, and let me add mine too ! Ok, JUST got the tomato garden in for the season, and now in the kitchen listening to an Ella F. vocal jazz album of her classis via laptop... Time to help Chris prep for his famous and 'twice a year' request by our motorcycle riders group to bring dill, potato salad for our dinner and ride event tomorrow! So, I will start that and get it ready. He does up a from scratch dressing for this, and it is very tasty! ..............I do all the bullwork and do as I am asked.......... So, the music helps with the task and I think an early glass of vino may be in order, even though it is only 3pm. here on the east coast :emotion-46: Ok, back at it.......... I will check in again in a bit.............Chuck, if you want to join us again tonight in RTM, we will be there... Pezz and I will be spinning up some Mike Oldfield there shortly after 8pm. eastern... ...............Gary

  10. Been real busy around the house and with work. Have had family down a couple weekends, have not had the time to listen much in 3 weeks. Wife gone for rest of day and all alone. Time for a workout for the audio system, man I have missed my baby's.

  11. If you're patient you can pick up 2 pairs of CWs for 1500. There are great pairs of LaScalas to be had for $1200 or so, and JWEB is right on with the Khorns for 2K. Looks like I might be putting my Ks up on the market along with a single Belle in the next week or 2. I've had some sh*t come up I need to take care of. I can always replace the speakers, they will be on CL Chicago and also here on the forum. Of course in keeping with tradition, I will be charging forum members a premium, they don't know the market or how to look the gear up on CL  Mark

  20. didn’t we work so long so we can now pay people to wash and wax our vehicles? The wife's van gets that. I do my own but it's infrequent. Last time I had a place change my oil they cleaned the headlight lens with brake cleaner (DUMBAZZ); short fight with owner they bought new headlights.

  21. Just acquired a pair RB75 from another Klipsch head friend of mine, black ash, great condition. Being conditioned to the sound of Fastlane KHorns I'm thoroughly pleased and impressed with the 75's. These things flat get with it. Running with 5-6 watts of single ended EL84 proved they are by no means a toy. They fill the same rather large space quite well. Really enjoying these 75's and in no hurry to set them aside.

  22. Yesterday I had stopped by to visit a friend to check out his DJI Phantom 3 Advanced. He let me borrow it for the weekend because he knows how bad I've got the itch to buy one. Thought I would share the video I made from my first flight around my neighborhood. https://youtu.be/kDX7lBQFUGM

  28. Richie, Congratulations on the 75's. They sure do sound big and have an easy time filling my large space also. Add a nice punchy subwoofer to the mix and you will swear you have a pair of RF-7II's instead of the 75's. Bill

Enough money or not this is the exact reason I change oil, wash and wax our cars. People don't give a shitt, use incorrect products for the job, cross thread drain plugs, etc. I know I'm going to do it right and do it well.

  39. Morning gang... Again thank you all for the good vibes... really means alot to us.... It's late and the coffee is just finishing brewing....I can hear it... and The BOSS is waiting for me to get up and fix it for her..... OK I'm back just took the coffee to her Before all this crapp went down The BOSS would do the coffee in the morning... but now she has so much on her mind and so much to deal with I've taken on that major task... My wife deserves to have coffee served to her We have a new animal in the neighborhood......... It's a damn Rooster Yea a Rooster.... Now we live in a rural county her in Md... and there are still alot of farms... The shop is right across the street from a cow farm... It's quite nice in the summer we can sometimes here the cows moooooing. But our house is kinda a residential neighborhood.... Now the guy right behind my house has a small farm with miniature horses and the guy across from him has the farm with this Rooster... It's really funny... we started hearing this thing a few months back... Now he's not right out my bedroom window so it doesn't wake us up... but you can still hear him crowing away.... I've heard him as early as 3:00 am and he will go sometimes till about noon....lol lol..... Yea it's really funny... When me and The BOSS are getting ready in the morning and we hear him we bust out laughing and I will sometime start crowing like a rooster.... lol lol Just about anything for a laugh I'm rolling out soon... going to the audio shop to pick up the rest of my gear... They were able to fix my Sony ES 801 CD player with the "parts" one I took to them a few weeks back... and..... and..... My Carver TFM-55 is all fixed and ready..... really happy about this...... when I was on the phone with them they asked me "so what ya bringing us next Mark?" lol lol .... Told em I'm kinda run out of audio money for awhile ..... But that's OK cuz I got alot of my gear fixed up and I snagged that Carver 4.0t from them a few weeks back.... So yea man I'm good.... I think the next thing I'll be working on is the X-over's in some of my speakers. I'm also on the hunt for some Pro-subs...Hey they will fall into my lap OK gang.... I'll check in later.... a good weekend to all MKP :-)

  40. Klipsch Walnut Forte for sale. Consecutive serial numbers, 8723009 & 8723010, which means the wood finish will match closely…I hate selling these. The bad: There is a chip on one of the risers and the dust caps on the passive radiators are pushed in. I know, aren’t they all? lol Other than that, they look great with minimal wear and scratches for speakers their age. The Good: Everything works as they should. 32Hz to 20KHz, 98dB SPL one watt at one meter. I really like the Walnut on these. These have more appeal than many that I’ve seen. The grills are in good shape with no snags, and they have BADGES. The only reason I’m selling them is because someone has something else that I want (yes, more stereo) and I have to let something go before I can bring more in. $400 OBO for forum members. 42. Derrick, I believe for many of their tracked statistics the opposite happened per the state's own report. DUI's down 28 percent, arrests and imprisonment numbers also way down, etc.. I was certainly not expecting DUI's to drop but rather increase. I suspect the sale of junk food is also up.

  44. Ceptorman Champion Spark Plugs was kind enough to give me a Pit/Garage pass for a few hours. I talked my way inside the crash wall to take the pic of the Provimi Veal car. I was really close to the track. The Harley pic was taken at the other Indy race. That's Jay and Scotty in the pic. My garage walls are covered in poster size prints like this.

  46. It is a nice thought, but reality and the needs of a civilized society dictate otherwise. We do not allow people to beat their wives simply because what they do in the privacy of their homes is nobody's business. We have authority to go into people's homes to investigate cases of severe child abuse and neglect because what goes on in people's homes has most definitely been demonstrated to be everyone's business. I don't know where exactly the cut-off is supposed to be, and I do very much align with the legalization proponents on the basis of having more freedoms in one's own home. However, I don't think the adage helps articulate the distinction. Naturally, people will come back with the next adage, "As long as they aren't hurting anybody else..." There is no doubt that drug abuse has been shown to be one of the number-one reasons for child abuse and neglect... or at least, the correlation is very strong. It's not the easiest of issues. For example, if people ought to be able to use these particular drugs in their own homes, then, why not Xanax, Vicodin, Viagra, Symbicort and anything else they might want? Why should a doctor be in the way of their freedoms to take those drugs? What makes those drugs so special and worthy of regulation, as opposed to MJ and cocaine? If we open the flood gates, why not be consistent and open them all the way?
