I would hate to see the first thread on Forte III be tarnished with arguing. Maybe the Forte II was -10dB at 32Hz and -3dB at 38Hz. Doesn't matter to me.....just want em'.5 points

That's the attitude to take fellas, keep pestering the Bonehead with courtroom type questions. He will surely want to contribute here more often. What is the purpose of all this anyway?4 points

No one on this forum is a God, or deserves to be worshiped, etc. The question put forth to Ray was quite simple, and could/should have been addressed properly, pages ago. I for one have had enough of some people's pompous attitude on this forum. There was a time, many years ago when people were friendly and helpful on this forum. No longer does this seem to be the case. Over and out Houston! Best regards, John4 points

Totally Agree. Saving money now. I enjoy chief bonehead giving us bits and pieces. I figure anyone with a screen name of "bonehead" has a personality I understand...3 points

Happy Monday everyone! Still -5 in the mornings - but gaining almost 5 1/2 min/day in daylight and that's invigorating! I am a Falcons fan - hasn't been much to celebrate over the years, but having the heart ripped out yesterday was an unpleasant shift. It's just sports, but I'm one of those who admittedly cares too much. On the positive, my wife is expecting #3 (& likely our last?!) so we are letting that sink in, our boys (age 4 &2) are remarkably excited and that makes it more fun! Another positive, the scale (my weight) is trending down, the BP is heading back to the "regular" normal from "high" normal, so I'm indulging in the coffee - a single cup and it is good. I've said enough! I hope you all have a great week! Drive fast, take chances.3 points

+1 In my opinion, the simple straightforward question put forth deserved a simple straightforward answer, or if it was deemed somehow inappropriate, a clear explanation as to why it was considered so, or no answer at all. Not the nonsense that came after.3 points

Thank you. I'm forwarding this thread to people that need to know this valuable feedback here @ Klipsch.3 points

Wow! Why has such a simple question become so confrontational? Either the forte and forte II went down to 32HZ, or they did not. If not, why cant a better explanation be provided other than flipped responses? Best regards, John3 points

Finally received my rear seat delete pannel from a GT350R... its a fairly rare piece.3 points

We all know WHAT our room correction software is doing, we just never know WHY. At least I don't. I added a second sub last night and moved the center speaker so I re-ran Audyssey. I was unhappy with a favorite demo disk because I couldn't hear the tubas. There were 16 tubas, they should have made some kind of substantial sound. I had previously crossed all the mis-matched 5.0 speakers at 80 Hz, run with the sub at 80. Audyssey decided they should ALL be set at 40! The next level under 40 is Full (or Large to you Yammie owners). Well, the tubas were back! And the rear speakers were producing a LOT more content on my demo disk than I remembered. Overall, Audyssey was right and I was wrong, at least to my ears. +++ The moral to the story Mr. Covish, is maybe YPAO is trying to tell you something?2 points

Yes Dave...congrats on the soon to be third little one. Are you wanting a girl this time? She'll have two brothers to help take care of her. I like spring also. When the days start to last longer, I'm all for that.2 points

Man, if I just had two corners in my living room....or a new house with a dedicated room. Then again, I should've kept the $500 '78 Klipschorns I bought from original owner when I was in DFW 10 years ago.2 points

Comparing my question to a fake moon landing conspiracy is just absurd. I understand now that the Chief does not "owe me anything" as if that were ever implied by me but whatever. I have been put in my place and will no longer ask a question or ask for clarification on anything he says. What a great day to be a Klipsch member.2 points

No, no, no....the olives go into the glass AFTER the requisite shaking....otherwise, it will just turn into a big pile of mush.... My real question is, who will be staying behind to pilot the command module, and who will be on the lunar lander? I think it's best that Carl not drive, so he would stay behind to captain the martini station....2 points

@wvu80 If you see a F-1500 or FSR-1500 come available in your area for $300 or less, it may be worth a test run. Response is 18-85hz - so you can use it out in the yard for creating earthquakes & fake thunderstorms to drum up night-crawlers for fishing.2 points

I really don't think there was a collapse, there was simply an otherworldly effort by NE....that's all it was.2 points

He got 2 touchdowns and 2 extra points just to tie, then went straight to OT and drove right down the field to win. That was certainly the best sequence of drives I've ever seen in my lifetime to come from behind in the biggest game.2 points

I thought jjptdk did ask a simple question. His question was never answered. But he did get a not so friendly reply.2 points

No, I think you're missing the point, which is best to quit digging yourself into a hole. Your "inferred" and "insinuation" comments are your opinion, and nothing more. I can pretty much guarantee that due to your mostly pissy attitude toward Roy that you won't get much further at all. Nothing to be gained at this point, really.2 points

Yes. Even with speakers, it's very hard to distinguish between user adaptation over time and any physical effect of "break-in." I can think of time consuming and expensive controlled and double-blind experiments that might shed some light, but would it be worth it? Like almost everyone else, I think my speakers sounded a little better after a few weeks, but, I repeat, adaptation or change in the speakers?2 points
-
You totally missed my point, I'm not asking anything about the new speaker that does not have the spec's released yet, just a little clarity on the conversation above. It was inferred that the previous method of frequency response testing that was done years ago on the forte II (and presumably all of the speakers at that time) was somehow inferior to testing practices of today.2 points

Forte III at the Pilgrimage? I'm there.....I want to see a replay of the moon landing in the anechoic chamber too, if we have time....2 points

I'm not a big fan of today's pop music either, but from a production and execution standpoint, it was very, very good. Not real big on her choreography, but her voice is terrific.2 points

Hi there. I live in the Netherlands. Been using Klipsch for a long time now. My first pair of proper speakers were Klipsch RF25 which I still use today. Love seeing setups of others so wanted to show mine. I have a 9.2 / 5.2.4 Klipsch setup that features: Klipsch RF25 fronts Klipsch RC35 center Klipsch RB61 rears Klipsch RB51 front height Klipsch RB51 rear height Klipsch R115 dual subwoofer setup Receiver is a Marantz SR7011, BD5007 for Blu Rays. This is in a dedicated home theater room two seating rows. The back row is elevated. No proper photos of the back. Still have to carpet the elevation. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk2 points

I agree I would look into the R-112 or even the R-115. To be honest you can find the R-115 for pretty much the same price you mentioned if you look around. eBay has them brand new lots of times for 600-650 from very reputable sellers like Onecall and others. Also, check with @MetropolisLakeOutfitters and see what kind of deal he can get you.1 point

Yes, the titanium tweeters are a very nice upgrade. Here's a link to purchase the TI mids if interested: http://www.simplyspeakers.com/klipsch-replacement-speaker-diaphragm-127122.html1 point

Movies will take advantage of the ULF from a good sub system. I only use two subs for music and all 8 for movies. Subs that can give you the ULF are expensive so, many of us go DIY to get a bit more bang for the bucks. If you are looking for some DIY design, the DIY subwoofer and speaker section has a variety of plans and cut list. We got side track, which happens from time to time . The key is with the appropriate selection of components you can put together a great system. It is the compliment of gear and not just any one piece. Keep us up to date on the direction you are heading.1 point

Was this a Magnolia Hi-fi display? We have one local to me but I have not been there in ages. Best buy for me now is where I go to buy a TV or video games for the kid, everything else I buy online.1 point

I bought some RB-35's sight unseen about 4.5 years ago and had my sister pick them up and keep at her house in Atlantic Beach for about two months. When I visited her I picked them up and fired them right up. No treble/upper midrange = blown tweeters. Ordered a pair from Klipsch and they were singing like they should. Get that volt meter and test them. Bill1 point
