I don't know many details, but I recall being told (paraphrased) "you want to kill any first reflections within "X" milliseconds and after that you want to diffuse, diffuse diffuse, and.....diffuse some more" His point was most people over absorb My wife however, will tell you that I don't absorb anything she says...4 points

Other than that drink up, eat well and beware of farm animals with social disease. I have seen the last two and this one will be extra special. I posted a picture of my home cinema earlier. Finally took care of some unfinished business the last couple of weeks and added acoustic panels to the room and carpeted the elevated second row of seating. The room itself is now finished. Only intend to upgrade my projector. Loving the current sound of the setup. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk2 points

I probably built those CW's. FACING THE REAR of the cabinets, follow the rear edge of the side panel to your left up almost to the miter joint, and there should be some stamped-in initials. Usually one pair side by side and one single initial either above or below the pair. If there is an "A" in the mix, then I built them.2 points

Schu, please take this as totally tongue in cheek. I think you're the best, BUT... An audiofool just might be someone who ships large heavy delicate speakers across the country expecting good results.... Snark mode off. Sorry. Couldn't help myself. Luv ya man. Mark1 point

Many people are using panels filled with rock wool for absorption, with good results. The ones that want to do it properly are using acoustic measurements. For example, a man moved into a new apartment in a modernist building. Flat concrete bare walls everywhere. A friend come by to help with acoustic measurements and calculation. It appeared that the wall behind the speakers needed absorption. Rock wool behind some nicely painted perforated plaster panels were used. Then the ceiling was done in a way of suspended second ceiling. On top of that second ceiling rock wool was also used. They installed a customized set of lighting in that ceiling to look nice. And final touch was a few refraction panels on the side walls. Now the room still have that contemporary look and is well acoustical treated.1 point

My first exposure to his work was in the area of photography, where he presents himself as an expert but offers nothing of any real substance. he just churns out article after article in order to drive traffic to his website, making recommendations will the sole purpose of Amazon referral sales, etc. Props to him for being savvy in the revenue generation field, but he should not be regarded as any sort of expert in my opinion.1 point

An audiophile is someone who hears a girl singing in the bathroom and instead of putting his eyes to the keyhole, complains about the acoustics and soundstage of the bathroom. LOL. Cool. Srinath.1 point

Im running the Volti 260's. I also have the CP25 Beymas, but I don't know if they would drop to 4K. I just updated my X-overs with Deans Super X's, so I will be leaving them be until the cotton grows a little higher. It seems 4K would change the overall spectrum of the CP's that may or may not be to my liking. The CP's are already too hot with my k55's right now and I was looking forward to going a db or two hotter with a two inch mid to make up instead of padding the CP's down, in the end I may have to though to get things balanced. I could live very easily with the 260 wood horns, the K55's and the K77's as it is an excellent combo for my ears, but the grass is always greener. I have been in and out of hobbies all my life, but music and Klipsch speakers have never gone away. I can't think of a better "item" to upgrade or spend money on. Never thought I would have more money in upgrades for my K's than what I paid for them, but they have come a long way in sound.1 point
