Looks great Luther, it looks like you have spent to much time in the plant, professionally done. That is some wild looking veneer, it looks 3D in the picture, they will be one of a kind.4 points

What you are asking is extremely difficult. Many people like the modded R.'s with the Dean XO. At the same time some are ok with the original RF 7. I only went as far as the transistor mod and this will cut out the shrill and other complaints. This also cuts out the sparkle in the Hi's to some extent. I would expect the bass in the RF 7 or modded RF 7 to be every bit as thight as the RF 82 since most of this occurs above the XO. Speaker driver size often get's blame for the bass sharpness and quickness but, those frequencies are higher up and related to phase and time alignment issues. People do all kind of crazy things like change different gear and that is not the real problem or the best way to solve it. I un-did my transistor mod and ultimately prefer the RF the way the manufacture made them. I compared them next to the current RF 7 II's. The RF 7 had the nod on bass and the RF 7 II's had the nod on midrange may not be perfect but, they do so many things right that they are high on the all around list in a lot of circles. Don't get hung up on the XO frequency and theoretical sound. Others will give their perspective but, in the end, you need to hear the speakers. Your taste will be unique to only you.4 points

This is more of a post to see what kind of interest there would be for these. As many of you know I purchased the 70th anniversary K-horns not too long ago and then pretty quickly upgraded to the Jubilee's. I doubt the K-horns even have 10 hours of play time on them honestly. They have been sitting in storage for months now and I've been debating selling them or keeping them but I really don't see any use in keeping them truthfully. As I said they are brand new and I paid 12k for them One of them has a slight chip in the baseboard from moving them. Very small I will post pictures but with all considered I was thinking around a 10k asking price. I do still have all original paperwork of course but I do not have the boxes. Shipping is really not an option because it would be too expensive and risky without the boxes but I do have a truck and I could deliver within a reasonable distance. I know the asking price is high but I did just buy them and honestly I'd rather just keep them than let them go for any less. Oh ya and as many of you know the serial numbers are not sequential it's off by one number. Haha, the more I think about it I'm probably better off just keeping them but you never know I mean the serial number's obviously don't affect sound but I know that's very important to some.2 points

I have thought about it. Down around the Juneau area, where you have to either fly in or boat. Doesn't seem too cold but the precip might be a decider.2 points

Come June 7-11 or June 14-18 to Indy for the SVRA Vintage racing. There will be a couple of those screaming F1 cars there. Plus, when is the last time you heard an Offy or the Turbine. late 1960's SCCA Trans Am cars and a whole bunch of everything. There are so many cars at this event they had to break it up into two separate events. https://svra.com/events/2017-open-wheel-world-challenge/ https://svra.com/events/2017-brickyard-vintage-racing-invitational/2 points

Yes, I can fully endorse the high value of Chris's kindness in lending his expertise!!! A few months ago Chris helped me set up my home brew Jubs and Xilica Xover. As it turned out, just as I was getting ready to set the Jub'likes up, I noticed my bass amp (Classe CA-150 ) was acting up to the point were I needed to send it out for what turned out to be a major repair. Anxious to hear the fruits of my labour I swapped in a Crown XLS1500 and with Chris's help we got things sounding pretty darn good. A couple weeks ago I finally got my CA-150 back from my tech, as good or better than new. I dropped Chris a line and we did a couple more sweeps to adjust the gain differences in the bass amps, as well as some value added adjustments to the Xover profile and I can say I that these things are sounding truly fantastic!!! Thanks again Chris!2 points

Pzannucci, I am trying to figure out why anyone would sell a pair of perfectly good Cornwall 2's! Retirement? Downsizing? Permanent hearing loss... Up here a "fair" condition pair of Cornwall 1's would be gone in a day at 1000 bucks. I know, because that is exactly how long it took to clear mine out when I landed a pair of Cornwall 2's. Cornwall 2's are very scarce around these parts and well worth the price difference. I would expect at least 200 bucks more for a good pair, probably more. But we have now crossed into hesitant buyer territory. They know they want them the minute they see them, yet they pray someone else will buy them before they convince themselves to take a kick at the can. Given the difference in currencies, I would be hard pressed to ask less than a grand (USD). And whomever buys them will have no problem reselling them for the same price, or more! List them for a weekend at the price you WANT and if they don't sell pull the ad and try again in a week or two. They are NOT going to depreciate. Cornwall 3's are not cheap, nothing new is.2 points

We Really miss F1 at Indy. Wife and I were there 5 times I believe. And back to your Turn 1 comment for my money, other than the live sound of Top Fuel cars, when F1 used V10's that would Scream at 19000 RPM and they would downshift entering the turn were like explosions each shift. You could easily hear them outside the track and send shivers down your back. The new "power plants" suck in comparison.2 points

That's funny. I have to tell you a story. We went to Tennessee once and Michael was with us, it was over a Christmas Holiday. It snowed alot while we were there and everything was frozen, we were frozen in and couldn't leave the cabin on the top of a mountain for 3 days because the steep roads were iced over. Michael had parked his car at the bottom and well all road up in a couple other cars. When they finally cleared the road we went to town to get more supplies. Michael wanted to move his car and opened the trunk and pulled out this thing and started scraping the ice off the windshield. He looked at me and said, "I live in Indy, this is what people use to remove the ice, I know you probably never seen one before but it's an ice scraper as he held it up laughing", at me. He and his girlfriend come down here to go on cruises with us since we are an hour from the port. This usually happens in the winter, they pull up and it's say 40 degrees here and I am wearing a jacket and they get out in T shirts saying how nice it is and making fun at me for being cold. It happened more than once.2 points

Rats, I can not get off work tomorrow, I always go at least to fast Friday, but I am going to Chicago Thursday to see the Reds v. Cubs and not sure when I will be back Friday. Happy hour is not quite the same since Daylight Saving Time. They need to shutdown the track at 7pm now. Do not forget the Mecum auction is in town. Indy is a busy place right now. Plus a bunch of great concerts this entire month of May as well2 points

I recently purchased an old school CD changer. I want to be able to catalog all my CD's and number them as I load them into the changer for faster identification and programming. Those that have large CD/Albums or tape libraries how do you catalog them? Obviously all of these are cataloged in itunes already. I thought about just building an excel spreadsheet but man that would be a real PIA! I found this one but curious what others have used. https://www.collectorz.com/music1 point

The history of mp3's even goes back to 64 bit rate. When talking about mp3's, one has to know the quality of the files. The 256 ACC and VBR files do very well with the Hi's.1 point

ok, will wear bell bottoms tomorrow :-) from what i gathered today, it's a firsthand pair in OG condition, never toyed with. k55v is inside as expected (see pics). can't hardly recognize the small tweeter on 2nd pic but you guys will know better ;-) more to come hopefully from the seller before i drive up there. seller is a pro, the speakers are a friend's of his who needs space and has audition issues. he seems ok for reservation as offered, i'd like a few tips for transportation. i drive a Kia Carnival, which is similar to a Chrysler Grand Voyager. will the KH fit in? i'll take the Kia's inside dimensions of course. the La Scala were at ease in it. excitment is growing. tomorrow first KH audition1 point

The arrows just advise you which way is "UP" for either vertical or horizontal placement...in order to have the midrange and tweeter horns ABOVE the woofer so as to get the mids and highs closer to the horizontal line of the head of the listener. This has absolutely nothing to do with the crossover network. Crossovers work without any bias towards how the cabinet is positioned.1 point

Thank you Dave. I'm just happy that other folks are able to put these parts to good use. I don't know, maybe it's the nice weather here lately that has spurred me to FINALLY start getting some of these things off the shelf and into the hands of other forum members.1 point

You keep playing with that kind of horsepower and soon things will get quiet...... veryyyyyyyyyyyy quiet. I've certainly had my moments of playing things loud... but they'll drive you out of the room if you start to approach their limits.1 point
