  6. First time to check in, almost sunset in Key West. A pic from the balcony, sorry it's with an iPad, no way to load any other better pic's. Was in Palm Beach for a bunch of days, Miami beach tomorrow, then back to PB then home.

  8. Morning everyone! Cold and rainy this am. Possible snow later so I’m sitting in my recliner, looking out the window, listening to Radio Paradise sipping my fresh Ethiopian Yirgacheffe (Organic) and easing into my day. Re ripping my entire CD collection (1200 cds) to lossless format, to be placed on separate OWC mini stack hard drive for safe keeping. All of this to be placed on my Wolfsen DAC ipods. Then introducing my new Onkyo 7030 CD player to my Sansui 8080. Moving the CD63E to the 2235B to see how they work together. And looking at new head shell/carts for my new, (to me) very clean Technics SL 1500. Any suggestions? Big day lol Have a great day folks! ☕️

  12. That'll do for now, thanks! Old hotel in uptown Tally at one time, had a breakfast grill besides restaurant. The cups of suppose regular size were make of pottery or ceramics which appeared in white and looked hard wearing. Thinking that as recall a thicker made cup, which has to hold the heat better and that some espresso cups are made similar. Carl, just posted one of(espresso), a couple of days ago here, of course. IAC, I will be wanting to visit those thicker cups again.

  16. I've recently gotten questions from others like yours. I've put together a couple of introductory pdf tutorials that you can find at the beginning of this thread: I need to complete some YouTube tutorials on the various aspects of the process (that I've talked about doing for some time)--rather than just putting everything into pdf files. I'm planning to continue that in the near future (after I complete MEH fab work for my setup). Bite-sized pieces works really well. Like many pursuits, what looks to be complicated is actually more like riding a bike or skiing. Once you get launched, it's self-directed learning. Chris

  22. How does the destruction look in the Keys after the recent hurricane season? The older house trailers near the water got wiped out, but the Keys also have some newer construction and all that should be hurricane proof.

  26. Nice! You are from the country of my two favorite motocross champions, 5-time Open Class World Champion Roger DeCoster and 6-time 250 champ Joel Robert. I named my youngest son Joel.

  30. I'm not remotely conversant about what horns earlier versions of the Cornwall had, or how the III might sound if different horns were used. All I can say is that the Cornwall III sounds absolutely fantastic. ..So it seems to me that Klipsch made good decisions regarding its design. As for the batting, I think you're incorrect about this. In this pic of Cornwall iii's being built you can see foam sections being glued against interior walls of the enclosure. ..In any case, I am not able to detect ANY resonances from any music or test tones.

  34. a local recone shop should be able to help you with scrap suspension material adhesive and advice. They could even do the patch for you if you don't feel like smelling solvent glue in the house. Good luck. moray james.

  39. I'm really digging the RF-7III. Bass from kick drums are surprisingly tight and punchy. The new horn just isn't sharp / bright / fatiguing like the old one could be, just not an issue at all, you can really crank them. Upper midrange is more pronounced on the Fortes which is awesome for blues guitar and female vocals, things like that. At this point I'm liking the RF-7III better for rock especially at decent volumes, at least when there isn't any EQ involved. Just buy both.
