  4. FOR SALE: McIntosh MC75 Mono-block pair Reissue (Current model sold by McIntosh) BEAUTIFUL!!!! Thought I would try selling these here on the Klipsch Forum first before taking to other auction sites.... I purchased these "B1" amps from Audio Classics around Oct. 1st. The serial numbers are ADP1203 and ADP1210. I was going to use in conjunction with my McIntosh MA9000. Since purchasing, they have sat in my audio rack unused. I really want to keep them, but I need to let them go to fund a new pair of speakers. I see no dings, dents or scratches. To my eyes, the look flawless (maybe some finger prints?). Smoke free home. I would prefer COD pick up at my home in northern IN. If you decide to pay by PayPal, PLEASE ADD 3% TO THE TOTAL Current McIntosh MSRP Price is: $7,500.00 $5,550 for the pair. Includes amps, all Mc factory packaging, factory power cords, and instructions Please note, this is a private party sale. I am not a dealer. Please feel free to ask questions. Thank you for looking!

  5. The guy that got my RF-83s is very pleased, and so am I! These things rock. Really loving them paired with the Sherbourn 2-160.

  6. You have a real knack for these videos. The indicator arrows are a great touch. I listened last night and was leaning towards the 7s, this morning I’m leaning towards the Fortes. Fence sitting at its finest. Going to run it through my system - with the aid of the Apple TV IPad mirroring feature. I’m pretty impressed with both actually. The mids seem to have a little more depth on the Fortes, the bass seems tighter with the 7s although the tweeter seems a little sharper. Having a pair of each in the house is an enviable position to find ones self.

  19. Indeed. I would love to hear them both with Jazz a genre I always thought that Klipsch speakers excelled with. Something about hearing horns through horns just works.

  20. I think all of us may like one over the other based on our personal taste and the type of music we like. Some of us like the sparkling highs and others like the mid-range more. The 7's are a tighter speaker IMHO and the Forte is a bit more relaxed. Both speakers are great and I would not mind owning both. I loved my Forte I with the Crites XO.

  22. Thank you kindly Dave. To expand on this, I've listened to other Youtube vids which plays musical sections and switch back and forth between speakers. Those videos are usually static and therefore visually boring, and you can't tell which speaker is playing, so you can't tell which speaker has which sound. I also don't want to listen to metal screeching for a half-hour in a listening test as I've heard in some other reviewers speaker vids. I'm sure that's the musical genre the reviewer may like but you can't listen for accuracy. Any speaker can play loud. Your selection featured a female vocalist which exposes the HF range, and had enough guitar and drums to articulate the mid-range and some bass. Three minutes long was long enough to cover the subject and still short enough to be interesting. This should be a model for other reviewers to follow.

  25. Michael, The only real difference I noticed is a slightly warmer/fuller midrange from the Forte III. Not necessarily better but different tonal presentation. Both pairs sounded pretty nice even through a computer. Funny thing is many of us want to say which sounds "better" when comparisons are done instead of just loving the sound of both or many models of our beloved Klipsch speakers. If I had a current favorite pair, then I would have the same speakers in every system throughout the house. Bill

  27. We had the opportunity to compare these same speakers in the Hope listening room last April. The F3's were built just the day before and a quick breaking in overnight. Position was side by side, much as you have done. And as you stated evaluating speakers through an iPad is hardly optimal but the video seems to prove what I heard at Hope. The F3 was fuller, better mid-range, less tipped up high freq.and better balanced throughout. The overall top to bottom balance stands out most. My wife agreed as did most others in the room. I believe Klipsch is no different from other manufacturers for engineering a "house sound". The F3 is closer to the Heritage house sound possibly because of the three way design? Appreciate the effort. Thanks

  43. No. I’m not implying that Ohio State is better than Alabama. I’m predicting that, and why, the CFP committee will pick Ohio State over Alabama. I would actually prefer Alabama. IMO, the B1G Conference is overrated. It, like its historically strong teams, has a weakness of living in the past.

  44. The JBL Paragon and Klipsch Klipschorn seem to come from opposite ends of the spectrum. PWK used readily available and rather inexpensive drivers to engineer superb sound where James Lansing manufactured his own superb drivers and designed a mediocre cabinet around them. Although some of these same drivers can be found in very formidable JBL's from the past. Years ago when on the JBL Heritage forums I made mention that I sold a pair of custom made cabinets housing JBL Professional line drivers for my first pair of factory LaScala's. Members there asked if I was writing from a mental institution?! To say I was flamed is an understatement.

  45. I own two pairs of 20s and a pair of 30s. One pair of 20s is solid and needs nothing, but the rest could all use a cabinet refresh. The solid pair of 20s is one of my favorite speakers I've owned. Smooth, musical mids and highs, with deep, punchy bass. Forced to choose, I'd probably take them over my RF-7IIs. In any case, it sounds like you have other issues if you're getting muddy bass.

  46. On my computer the voice sounded better with the RF 7 II by just a hair. I know this is not optimal and these little speakers can't do justice to either speaker. Thanks for the video.
