Womp is the sound of the Can hitting the counter. Lazy women do this, in lieu of proper Biscuits... courtesy of Jerry Clower4 points

Thanks, thinking about Tarheel on a diet makes me feel terrible, I would be happy to be in his shape. Well, there's always the I'm not as old as him thought, that helps a little.3 points

If you have had dealings or communications with this user in the past, please halt. They are a known scammer and were banned a few weeks ago after I was alerted to it. They will claim to have a buddy in Texas and try to get you to pay for something with Western Union (which is just a good idea to avoid anyway). This scammer was actually from Nigeria and was phishing. Edit by Travis 12/27: This scam continues to thrive. IF YOU RECEIVE A PM with a message that someone else has the item and contact them at an email address, odds are it's a scam and be on the highest alert. Be especially aware of Members with little or no posting history.2 points

She should be upset, can they refrigerated and be brought tomorrow or before the weekend.2 points

Try the clang biscuits, ya know the cold hard ones you throw on the baking sheet. They beat the shortening out of the whomp biscuits.2 points

They've been on my list for a while, not because I need them, just always wanted a pair if they came up for the right price. Been through quite a few sets of RB5's and though I know the 5's can't possibly compete with the 75's, they are amazing in their own right, considering the amount I paid, between $120 and $200 a pair and at one time I think I was up to 4 pair, but have taken it down to just one.2 points

But not when you replace it with Bourbon or Tequila. It's not the Atkins diet, but I'm sure it started with an A or maybe it was AA, something like that, I can't remember.2 points

Just five and they are almost gone as of this morning. Mostly water weight as AD acts as a diuretic. If I take off 5 now won't have to do 50 later.2 points

To all, First let say to Jimbo ...I apologize for not following protocol . The last person I would want to offend or piss off is you. I have enormous respect for you. And have always listened to what you have to say. When I met you years ago.... at a get together.... you came in with a tube amp a Dragonfly DAC and a cell phone...and it blew me away. Before that day I had no interest in anything 2 channel...In a way I have you to thank for me spending all that money and starting my collection. There comes a time in every ones life when none of this really matters anymore or takes a back priority. A week or so ago I had the pleasure of meeting someone from this community and selling him (what I and my friends refer to as my children) (2 wonderful pairs)...something that I put a lot of time and effort in bringing back to beautiful condition. If you guys think I want to sell these things..... think again.... I am doing it now because my life has taken a major change. I have known you guys for 10 years....it's been a great pleasure....I am not going anywhere The only 2 things left are the: PSA V-1800 sub $ 600.00 Sunfire TGA 7201 $ 800.00 Turntables are off the table....got other offers The Anthem ...I think is going to go to SemperFiAG08 if he is still interested ...and yes it is as good as new Later2 points

Nice looking plants. Are you sure you were growing tomatos in Colorado 🤡2 points
-
I'm about two weeks from some ripeness here in Az. We can plant the first week in March. I've grown them in New York and Maryland with good results. Colorado was a challenge. Rabbits, birds, hail and a short season stunted production. But here in Az. I get a big crop May through July. The plants won't set fruit if the temp doesn't drop below 90 so they go dormant for two to three months, then produce again for a fall crop in Oct and early Nov.2 points

...McIntosh MC-2105 Power Amp driving my La Scalas, my Heresies and my JBL Control X weather resistant outdoor speakers, all switchable through my ADCOM 3 way speaker switch! Here's the Craigslist AD for the preamp: https://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/d/ballwin-mcintosh-mx113-stereo-am-fm/6888413188.html :-) Finally, I'll have a Stereo version, more powerful version of my Daddy's Mono Record playing system I FAILED TO GROW UP WITH! He had a Pickering Turntable, a Mono McIntosh Preamp, and a Mono 20 watt Tube McIntosh amp into a 15" Altec Lansing speaker!! And that was the audio system I FAILED TO GROW UP WITH! I'm gonna miss having more RCA line level inputs, like for my CD player, etc. But I will adapt! Any suggestions always helpful. John Kuthe...1 point

Just purchased the MX113 and took it straight to Alpha Tech and traded them that Toshiba Tuner for a priority job on my McIntosh MX113 Preamp and Tuner, putting rubber feet on it and lubing the Input Buttons! And just generally going through it and making sure everything works optimally! :-) :-) John Kuthe...1 point

How many innies do you need? Seems a shame to degrade the MAC equipment with some cheezeball mixer.1 point

Problem with losing water weight is it comes back when you drink water1 point

Definitely the AUX input is just a line level input(after phono preamps but before tone/volume controls). No problem plugging your CD player into it. The TAPE input may also be the same. I sure you will love it as long as it is fully functional. Enjoy!1 point

I'd offer $600.00 max, but that's just me. If someone has really been wanting a pair, the extra $150.00 might be worth it to them. I'd be hard pressed to let mine go as they are fantastic speakers. @Cinema_head Make him an offer!1 point

Last year we canned a couple of gallons of salsa. We kept a variety of tomatoes. This year we only planted Cherokee Purple tomatoes. Should have product by July.1 point

Inorganic is okay. Running both high and low freq. lines together on the same standoffs will degrade the sound quality. Straight/flat will accentuate both capacitance and inductance, so never do that. But overly-twisted is bad, too. Like with anything in life, moderation is important. The distance between the precisely parallel (so important!) sets is dependent upon the distance. Also, don't neglect the orientation with the Earth's magnetic field (you want complementary angles with the left and right channel runs or it's all a waste of time). The greater the run length, the greater the parallel separation you want, but don't get too carried away because too much is as bad as too little. One important aspect which has been so far left out of this discussion is that lead lengths absolutely MUST be precise multiples of 57-1/8 inches. That's finished length, I believe, if twisted, so be sure to allow for that when making cuts! (Best to cut to final length after twisting, if possible.) Edit to add: Do not under any circumstances overly-tighten any zip ties on your wires!1 point

I am most definitely still interested in the Anthem, I was just waiting for a response via PM and we can work out the details. This will likely be my last audio purchase for a while (baby on the way this summer).1 point

I grow only odd varieties of cherry tomatoes for my grandkids. Just one or two plants. All of the rest of my tomatoes come from my son in law's mom, who has an enormous garden, and just last week put in 50 plants......1 point

Allow me to expand on the drying point since I recently had the Z4 35is ceramic coated. I found a Youtube video on touchless car washing and have tried it once and believe it to be a keeper. I use a foam cannon after the initial wetting procedure. Allow the foam to do it's work....rinse with no nozzle in a sheeting action. Then use the blower starting at the top paying attention to cracks between panel and gas filler door. No touch means no swirl marks. You guys may already know this procedure but it was new to me.1 point

Perhaps too late, but it would not hurt to short the woofer terminals at the crossover and use the magnet/voice coil interaction to prevent the vc from moving too far because of some jerk.1 point
