  3. Love the size of the Heresy, and my wife wanted my small Cornscalas smaller. I give you the CornHeresy. The design goal was for the same midrange horn, driver and crossover I use in my cornscala but smaller. It doesn't dig as deeply as my cornscala, not by a long shot but the bass is still fantastic. The sound stage is wide and Deep. 2way Eminence LFA12 Faital LTH142 (The big one) for the horn. Faital HF140 for 500-18K. I know some cross it as low as 500hz... Driver has been shown to be safe that low. The horn reports its freq response from 500hz to 18K, but suggests crossing at 800hz with a 12db filter. This is prob meant at full power, but I decided to use the recommendation and went with a 12DB. I asked AL to design a AP12-800 setup for this application. He had previously measured a 12LFA went I sent it to his for the Jub Clone crossovers. I believe Al describes it as a AP12 + a Zoble network.

  4. When you're the first one into a one-owner collection, looking at the condition and he says, "No need to look only played a couple times. I recorded on cassettes and listened to those." Mmmmm, NEVER enough cash in your pocket BUT I got a NICE tub full @ a great price! Whoda thunk it?

  9. Got lucky the other day. If you can get here by 1230 you can pick what you want and you're the first one I'm letting in. The others can wait but I only have til 4. Maybe 430 at the latest. Two hour one-way drive and I'm on it! He met me and we went to HIS basement. Nothing big time showing then he said the albums are back here. Help yourself. Mind in INSTANT over-load! Took my pic first then started looking thinking i was really gonna put a dent in this place. Started looking at condition and they were ALL like new. I looked at about 4 and he said you don't have to look at them. I was on the road, would buy the LP's and then put them on cassette so they've only been played maybe once or twice. Sure there's a moral to the story... ALWAYS take a boat load of $$$$! Sure I'll share them with you! Til prolly the 4th of July! 😂

  22. We brought some back one time, it was good but I couldn't make it strong enough no matter what I did, but I don't know what the roast was? It was very mild. Another thing was we were told there are many coffees from the blue mountain area and it can vary alot and hard to know if you're getting the real thing or something else.

  24. No need to keep Alice in a closet, unless you mount a T.T. in there as well. Son of a Preacher Man, heck of a source for material, and timing was perfect! I can taste the gear setup now, 99% moved finally Takes so much to deal with 66 years in one place, plus my stuff as well for the last 10 years. So it is boxes everywhere!!!!!! Now to deal with the stuff, what can go what has to be saved/stored, then I can go get my gear!! and Vinyl not newly acquired

  26. Fry’s has what’s reported as the Klipsch RF7III’s for $1079 each. Currently free shipping but they tend to take that away once they sell enough. https://www.frys.com/product/9903986?site=sr%3ASEARCH%3AMAIN_RSLT_PG&clickid=3NVwceV8pQXiVOUz57y7uRXiUkl35Ay1I07bws0

  29. The acoustic panels in my experience are great. Every room should have at min first reflection covered with even drapes if it works better. These bigger klipsch remind me of a monster hp bike, snowmobile or something. Crazy powerful so needs as good of control as possible. Il be honest when I got them for my projector ht room years back. It was decretory (had low expectations). The room is so huge I learned. Any small thing that upgrades the room at all will start to add up.

  31. Very nice @Cinema_head and the sound absorption material makes them work well in your long narrow bonus room? Liked the fabric behind the HF face, but doing that seems like you might need to give the LF a Belle treatment of sorts to balance that. The classic look and the lighting in there makes for a good display here.

  34. ???? I'm a dummy where computers are concerned Kona is the same. Depends on who, where and how... I diluted some of my [good] Mexican with a little Kona... gotta use it up somehow. I'm too cheap to throw it away.

  35. Wallenford and Jamaica Coffee Roasters have mailing addresses actually on the island, I've only bought it from amazon recently when they started running out of Marley's. Yea it was that Marley, Bob's family, their blend was even great and I bought those three pound bags from amazon for $39.99 until they were out of them. They had a blue bag with the 100% for $50.00/lb. Bob's kids ran that company into the ground...... it's a shame. Twenty years ago I could get JBM at the BJs on Merritt Island for the same price as the other coffees? Glad I dig the good ol Colombian still, it's affordable for the quantity that I need here! Drinking some now that's "honey process" no honey involved just cured naturally without washing. The mucilage isn't scrubbed off and the flavor is mellowed without being weak. What I'm drinking looks like the black honey version at this blog, broke out the immersion brewer for this stuff last weekend. http://blog.seattlecoffeeworks.com/roastery/earth-honey-process/

  36. Well by golly, that is a garage door opener up there! Is this your garage stereo? Has the family banished you to the garage? Or maybe a garage door to open the concert room to the fresh outdoor breeze. "Rocky mountain high?" Either way, you def have it goin on for sure! Three Mac stereo amps lit and a bevy of Klipsch goodness.

  37. There is only about one more batch left. I'll wait so I don't mix the two in my canister. The same coupon was good for Jamaican blue, but of course it was way pricier. Kona is a nice drink, and usually no more than a medium roast, but you have to make sure you get the real 100% stuff, because there have been some issues with unscrupulousness. Hold out for Kona Peaberry if you can get it and are willing to pay---it is a big cut above. I used to get a Sumatran peaberry at World Market which was pretty good, but they closed the store in my town and I will never forgive them.

  38. One of the ones that is real is $$$ Forgot to mention I don't care for black beans, but there was this place in the lower level of one of the big buildings, across from where the cruise ships moored and you could see the Heat's arena almost from there. I had seconds of theirs then when I got another Cuban smashed sandwich to take home got some more of those beans too. Tasted black beans a dozen times since but never eaten them again.

  40. I'm using a computer. Better than some places... but I am noticing some sound quality shortcomings.. I'm on the free side... of course I didn't wait to use up the Kona. I couldn't wait I go thru a fair amt of Peruvian. It's nice. They had Kauai coffee in dark and medium... as the joke in MIB III goes, "Tastes like dirt. It was ground yesterday"... if it had been whole beans I would have bought a bag. It's good, not great... Don't command a premium price, either.

  41. I had a coupon so I splurged on a bag of single source Chiapas beans which were also slightly on sale. Probably break into it in a few days after Peruvian is used up.

  43. Before buying I actually called Klipsch customer support for exact measurements without riser to make sure it would fit and still be able to put a fan on top of receiver below the Heresy. He puts me on hold for a few minutes then came back and reads off some measurements. He took a tape measure and did it himself! Awesome customer support! And one more picture showing off drivers.
