} And speaking of brewing equipment and the second topic listed of the thread, who uses the pour over method - (that’s Pour Over, Carl, not comb over) 👨🦲4 points

I like a Bunn ... really prefer a nice pair of them. Good legs are cool, too Sorry, too easy A Bunn will be my next coffee machine Always wanted to try some BlueMountain. From your description, sounds like Lappert's Kona. Almost chocolatey Having coffee and a cocktail... cranberry to chase my hamburger for breakfast. Wife asked me what I wanted for dinner today, last night ..... Had to think, because I don't really want anything special... so, my response was "Spaghetti". That threw her for a loop. So, I helped her. She watched while I threw it together. Simmered it for a few hours and packed it to the fridge overnight. Back on the stove now. No. I didn't sleep in. Up at my regular time, 4AM. No b'day pic, yet. Imagine Aqualung, only skinny Spose I better uncover the garden. Should be ripe in April.4 points

Started on a bag of Jamaican Blue Mountain which is a very generous gift from a friend. Low acidity makes for an extremely smooth brew. The flavor is mild, almost like it is in a class of its own.4 points

@billybob, yes goats are often used for weed control in pastures and in forests. They can eat weeds that are toxic to other animals. Some people rent their goats to farmers and tree farms for this purpose. Put a llama or two among them to fend of predators and you have an organic method of weed control.3 points

Now you'll have to send me some Lappert's Kona so I can compare the two. Thanking you in advance...3 points

Thanks dtel. Despite the bad forecast of 12+ inches of snow, we only got about 3-4. However it was blizzard like though, with all the blowing snow. Everything went off without a hitch and was a beautiful wedding/reception. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk3 points

Is your town buzzing for today's game? There was a local TV news story a while back talking to Colts fans that attended the Chiefs/Colts game in KC. They said they had never been treated so well by an opposing city's fans. Pretty cool to hear stories like that. I've always been somewhat of a Chiefs fan, since the early 70s when I was a kid.3 points

this sauce came out GOOOOOOD! The basil was fresh [for dried]. took a sample of the sauce to make sure the spicing was right and now I want to spill some over a slice or two of bread for lunch. Still thinking I am needing to reload my sound card drivers. Same symptoms from two different amps using the same source .. this laptop... Guess I'll put the H/K back in/on.... I hate intermittent problems.2 points

Some close ups so you can see how I put it all together. Details on little tweaks to follow. Build note: I added very thin black tape insulation to the top end of the waveguide. I did not want the top to vibrate and possibly cause problems, so the tape should prevent any vibration. Decided to place the barrier strip on the side to keep the wires away from the back of the drivers and out of view from the center of the room. Wiring is somewhat temporary for now. Placed the entire platform on vibration isolation pucks to again prevent vibrations from bass bin affecting the AMTs. Not sure if that is even necessary, but doing the best I can to optimize what the AMTs can do. Suggestions are welcome!2 points

Also it's not just about size but attitude, the same reason they will put a donkey to protect much bigger horses. But in a pack I would guess anything can change.2 points

Dressing up my other pair of KPT-415 bass cabinets. Cutting some veneer with a matte cutter, a tool normally used when making art picture framing. The spot of green tape is an arrow, to help me keep the woodgrain of all the cut pieces pointing in the same direction on the multiple parts of the total project.2 points

I have found that Jose Cuervo 1800 to be very effective, at making me not care......Seriously, I found years ago that my sense of smell was getting worse so it don't matter...... But really, seriously, in addition to things mentioned frequently using terrible tasting mouth wash really works.2 points

Interesting tips. Hope she is listening... Garlic seems to stay with one abit. Natural gargling with baking soda and brusing with same. Works, but no recc by some makers of paste. Yes talking plain old Arm@Hammer. Man had all his teeth at 84 years...2 points

Where are you located? I worked NC/SC/Va/Ga for quite a few years and ran all the roads at one time or another. Taking some basic measurements will tell you what you've got going on in the room and allow you to treat the room first and then see if there's still anything that needs to be EQ'd but in the end, you'll adjust things to your taste, regardless of what you're measuring. All it does is help identify what's really going on as opposed to what we sometimes think is going on. This should make you feel better about your remodeling. LOL2 points

I have never been an EQ guy, but that might have to change. We'll see how it all shakes out in the end. For those interested, since I am in the middle of the state of NC, if/when this all gets finished, I'd love to host a gathering.2 points

https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?forums/digital-audio-converters-dacs.10/ Listen to Amir. DAC's should be transparent. You'll be surprised how many expensive DAC's are NOT worth the money, and how many inexpensive DAC's are very well made.2 points
