  1. Are you absolutely clueless as to why you get put in time out or can you just not help yourself?

  2. Amazing how this thread is an accurate slice of our society. GTFO your political views and meaningless opinions and try to focus on how you as a human, can help others in need. I'm strongly conservative and disagree with many of you on political views, but I'm not putting that out here as it benefits nobody. Please, pull up your panties, set your political views aside, and just be a good person. Ask yourself, what can I do to help someone affected by the situation, instead of trying to state that you, or your party, would have done something better.

  3. Even with their draconian measures, China is still registering new cases. It could very well blow up on them again. Imagine if they had done nothing. Europe responded too late and is paying the price, and will continue to do so - same with Iran. The first reported case in the US was near the end of January. We now have infections in just about every state. We are just now fully waking up to the problem. It is too late. This is moving just like influenza. After two people stepped into my cube and leaned in to tell me something, I made signs - one for my cube and one for the office door. One of the signs has the definition of “asymptomatic transmission” on it. What I’m learning is that most are both ignorant and insensitive. If my wife gets this she will probably die. I have no respect for, or patience with naysayers. Some of you may end up being right, but you are playing Russian roulette with people’s lives when you feed into that narrative. Personally, I think we’re in deep shit. My Dad, who never gets much excited about anything, refuses to leave the house - even for groceries. He spent 30 years working in hospitals as a MLT.

  4. Eddy Offord worked a lot with YES ... he engineered this album if I recall correctly. Some good ones and some not so good ones. Rick Wakeman says Tales From a Topographic Ocean was the reason that he left the band (one of the times). of course, Patrick Moraz is on keys for this recording; but I'm a Rick Wakeman fan ever since I tagged along with my big brother and his friend to the drive in movies back in the mid 70s and they were listening to Close to the Edge. Brought my kids to see Rick Wakeman once, they were so bored. To make matters worse, when the concert was over, they had to stay because we were going to meet the band after the show. I still tease my kids about that. They tell me "we were kids we'd like it more now."

  15. LOL, I had to look it up. Trump Derangement Syndrome is a term applied by some writers to describe critics of US President Donald Trump, including liberals and progressives, whom they accuse of responding to statements and political actions by Trump in a manner verging on the irrational, without regard to his actual position or action taken.

  17. First comment out of my mouth reading about all this utter stupidity was "Are they all crazy? Never heard of washrags and soap?" All my friends do not watch TV and clearly TV is bad for your mental health and self reliance. We all got tired of the lies and blatant manipulation just like is being done today and somewhere along the line we all stepped off. I watch those who rely on TV to run their lives and make their choices for them with more than a little disgust. This whole episode just reinforces and affirms the wisdom of my choice to move away from the city in 1987 and never look back. We don't think or act like city people and that is a real blessing.

  23. Here in the states we have leadership from both sides of the aisle managing their own cities and states. Around the planet we see multitudes of leadership styles and different governance working on this problem. NONE of them seem to have any special answers or approaches. They’re all doing roughly the same. The virus does not care about politics. Really.

  34. And I can MAKE ammo, but I'm not stupid, I put back more than enough a long time ago! I have a whole hell of a lot of gun friends from personal relationships and over a dozen sites I frequent and from what I am hearing, this is not happening nearly as much out in rural communities as it is with City Idiots. Just my take... Roger

  39. Yep, it's a worthwhile "tweak" which Paul W Klipsch did not believe in and he told me so rather adamantly when I mentioned I had done it to my Khorns. He did not believe it was audible, but then again he had 81 year old ears at the time as can be seen in my Avatar. He said that a 2 millisecond time delay was inaudible on Speech and Music, but it was (marginally so) on Click tests. (see the shuffleboard experiment).

  43. I worked in TV news from '69-'80. Everyone I worked with, and all those I met, worked hard to be balanced and fair. A couple I met died doing their jobs so people here could see what was going on in Viet Nam, and during some of the fiascos in South America. I'm done

  44. And I don't have a &$@#&*ing agenda. We will see how this all plays out. The H1N1 didn't hit those over 60 any harder than young people. Covid-19 does...

  45. I see that too and do not close my eyes but so far I have seen nothing that warrants all this. Of course the answer to that is that the measure worked and that is why the death toll was small. I get that but when the network news is built on so many provable falsehoods, fake news, which part do you believe and why should they be believed this time? Remember the day when if you did something to yourself only you were to blame? Today these businesses have to shut down or face lawsuits later from people who knew the problem existed but went there anyway and then sue because the bad thing they knew could happen did happen. I like today's tech but miss the moral compass of 50 years ago.
