  1. The first time I heard Klipsch was the fall of 1971, I was 16 and went to my boyfriends house. His Dad has Klipschorns and I was literally blown away! We put on Led Zeppelin’s LP and played Stairway to Heaven. My prior listening experience had been a transistor radio, so you can imagine the Jolt my ears heard! I wound up marrying my boyfriend and the first year we were married, we built our own set of speakers with the help of my Dad. They were built from the Speakerlab Klipschorns plans, man they sounded great. In 1987, we were finally able to afford the real deal, Klipschorns!! We even contacted Klipsch engineer Gary Gillum to help us design the perfect room. We closed in part of our 3 car garage and built our music room. It sounded fantastic! Fast forward to 2001. We decided to move to the Nashville area and began looking at houses. We literally looked at dozens of houses, (always tape measure in hand)! One Sunday afternoon we were out looking at homes and passed by a brand new subdivision and decided to check it out. There were only about half a dozen homes in it ,but the views were gorgeous. We topped this hill and there was this home, not finished yet, but a big sign in the yard that said, come on in and see the difference. We went in and every turn we took made us love this home even more. When we climbed the steps to the room over the garage, our jaws dropped. There it was, the room that our Klipschorns would fit in! Out comes the tape measure and YES, they would work perfect! Fast forward almost 20 years later and we still have the Klipschorns (and a second pair) and basically a whole home filled with Klipsch LOVE! I personally have no clue why so many ladies out there don’t like music, but dang, I’m sure not one of them! I will post pics soon! Happy listening friends!

  7. Pricey but awesome. Technics SL-1210GAE. ..If anyone is in market for a new turntable I highly recommend it. And fit/ finish is unmatched by any table I've seen costing less than a luxury car. Turns about as steadily as a CD player and nearly as quietly.

  8. don't apologize to them ... they've been living off the false narrative that they are one of the best rock bands. If Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen weren't hogging up so much space, I'd have The Who on my most overrated list. I'll take the "Guess Who" over "the Who" any day.

  13. It's fast, full of action and contact, and sometimes a fight. It's everything the NFL wished it could be except they have the fighting (at least in the stands).

  14. RIP Mr Brimley , he was such a Good decent person , an example for so many - only a few ever know that he served in the korean war , and he was also a rodeo rider and a horseshoer, and as a tough man , he was the Bodyguard of Howard Hughes -

  19. I think we should form the Klipsch Collective Partners, LLC (after all, we have several attorney's hanging around) Buy some household breakers, 20 amps for Beginners, 30 amp for Wannabe's and 40 amp for (true) Audiophiles. Gold plate the flipper switch (so said people can easily spot which one is the audiophile breaker). Possibly cryogenicaly treat them (probably can take the entire case of them and simply "hose" them down with a tank of Co2....nobody will really ever know. Oh, we MUST have a Canadian do the cryogenic treatment.... this way we can have an official (non-paid) "Hoser". Sell them for $2,500 a pop and we can all get a giggle while splitting this funding for our retirement accounts.

  22. On the news, it was mentioned that southern California is expecting 50C temps this weekend. That’s a temperature number I’ve never seen or heard of in a weather report, except maybe for Death Valley. The new normal?

  23. I would say he's OK, but normal might be a stretch, I'm not qualified to judge normal, BUT I have never owned a sarong so there's that.

  28. A bit busy lately but we're almost back to abby normal. Jam nite tonite but not thinking I'd like to spend 4 hours in a mask and it also makes it kinda tough drinkin a beer. Who knows what will shake out. Few new ones showed up this week but still waiting on a couple to surface. Those might just get thrown down and spun depending... Grands today for the neighbor's kid's bday party but prior too was jammin the freezers w/400# of Angus beef. Won and done w/ not even room for a popsicle between the house and garage freezers. Ha! Now with all of these posts lately I can see I'm going to have to sit down w/the station manager and come up with some kind of schedule. Gonna need morning's, afternoon, drive-time and some one for the grave yard shift soon. Gonna have to get the station's paperwork approved and the website copyrighted then we can go to work. W-P-W-K is goin down and nope it's NOT BULLSHIT! Naturally. we're all gonna have to be on our best behavior but in time we'll relax things a bit. The Aussie and German accents are gonna blend well with the gaggle we have. Looking forward to great things guys! I really like the remote ideas for Paul. Nothin like a dude on the rock out on walk about talkin to people! MicroMara gnawin on a bratwurst and suckin on a Helles will be great! We got this! Plenty of burgers though if we get bored! Carry on! 😂

  37. I have both subs now. They are much bigger in person than I anticipated. I'm waiting on Crown XLI 3500 amp to be delivered on Monday. But I am impatient so I hooked up one Devastator to the left channel of my Emotiva Dr-2 amp which is 500 watts per Channel 8 ohms. I know this amp is under powering the Devastator, but the potential is already there in spades. I played my Jubilee on the right channel of the emotiva amp. I know some have expressed the Devastator build is not a pure horn loaded enclosure, but it definitely has the horn sounding bass. The bass is clean, sharp, articulate, and has immense presence. Yet it blends seamlessly with my Jubilees. I even venture to say that the Devastators upper midbass actually sounds cleaner than that of the Jubilees. And I played with the crossover all the way up to 100hz and the upper mid bass sounds great with no signs of the distortion or decay. These are by far the best subs I've ever owned. And I've owned many, many subs. My previous subs were Stereo Integrity 24" subs, Mach 5 Audio FTW 21" subs, Chase 18" subs, Bagend 18" subs, etc. All were in sealed enclosures for music first priority. Even in sealed enclosures, those subs do not sound anywhere near as clean as the Devastator does. The LaVoce 21" drivers are 98.5 DB sensitivity so they are easy to drive. I had thought about going back to the stereo Integrity 24-inch drivers in ported enclosures for more output. But I just do not like the sound of ported sub for music when you turn the volume up. There always seems to be some degree of decay. But with the Devastators I can go as loud as my ears can take it, and the bass remains controlled and articulate at high volumes. And their presence is easily felt at low volumes for normal music listening. Best of both worlds.

  38. the R model is for track and pro use only , when you buy the bike , Kawasaki adds a contract into the sales agreement which forces the buyer to do specific maintenance based on the mileage of the bike -- here is the tensioner h2 tensioner.pdf
